I had 150% gain on weed stocks and actually got out just before a 200% gain yesterday. But they are all pretty much worthless and some haven't filed financials in 6 months.

I bought in around .40 a share after hearing of them through the national eagles and angels association. They have a solid management group with a lot of history in the industry.
They exited their R&D phase last year and have begun filling large orders. Zacks research recently issued a price projection of .90 a share for 2014 as sales are projected to exceed $4M. They are also going to work towards a NASDAQ listing in the near term.
TASER was once an OTC stock and now trades at $18. Investors are hoping for the same eventual progression b/c of the management group at GRDH.

Wait until April/May, load upon weed penny stocks, and sell in June after Washington begins selling recreationally. If pattern is same as when it was voted to legalize and when Colorado began selling, should be able to double your money. Having said that, none of the companies are all that viable and just accept that whatever you throw at them is gone.

I've been buying and selling for the past few months. If it gets down around .10 I'll buy and ride up to .30 or so, and sell. I think long term if they can get out of BK the stock will jump up. There is a hearing later this month to confirm the BK plan which has them slicing their debt by 2/3rds and giving equity positions to creditors. I have mixed feelings about that. The stock will obviously devalue based on that, but then there is some part of me that says the creditors accepting the equity position must mean they like what they are hearing going forward. OR, they just don't have any other choice but to take the equity position and pray.
I'm in on two bulk shipping greek companies. Not a huge part of my portfolio, but I think both are good plays.

how much of this are y'all trading, if you don't mind me asking. If you're $100 in and it doubles, you're making $80 after commissions. Hardly seems worth the hassle to find the "big one"

I've got 4 figures in it. I wouldn't trade $100 worth of it or anything else where I am going to incur any type of fee. I ain't got no time for that.

Not terribly high risk but XOM is a great looking penny stock IMHO. Trading at the moment at 100,058¢
