I am so new at this, I will tell you what they told me, do your research and find what you believe in. I REPEAT, I AM NEW AT THIS. But this is some of the knowledge I've gained in the last month or so of really investing in this.

Check the wiki AMA thread on the OT and see which ones he is investing in, at least he is one that has had some success.

I believe in investing in the big three for sure. I truly believe BTC will break 40 or 50k in 2018. I think ETH has a ton of potential and is one I am investing heavily in moving forward. I am only putting money in LTC when its down, and I think itll drop a bit more after that surge the last few days. Wont put more in it until next week at the earliest.

Follow @parabolictrav on twitter for BTC advice. It can be summed up as follows; Buy, and forget. Keep buying, keep investing, never withdraw, take your lumps, and be rich in the next several years.

I just registered with binance and holy cow I'm lost, it sure isn't as easy to use as coinbase

I want to transfer a small bit of ETH from coinbase (well I don't want to, but I believe that's the only way since I don't hold any BTC) to binance to buy some iota but it's like reading hieroglyphics

Speaking of finance, does amyone know why their ETH is like $50 cheaper than Coinbase?

I transferred over not long ago. Definitely not easy like Coinbase but you get use to it. I'm looking at IOTA/ETH pair.

LINK

Wish I hadn't used as much ETH as I did, but this is how I did it. Coinbase to GDAX to Binance. Step by step

Just go from coinbase to binance.

There is no reason to send it to gdax

something about their color scheme annoys the piss out of me but its a great exchange especially since they just added the stop limit feature which i use all the time on poloniex

youll get used to it in a few days if coming from coinbase

Last question...I dont' have a crap ton of money in anything so I don't mind leaving what I have in coinbase as it seems pretty secure.

I know exchanges are a different animal though. When I put money into binance and let's say I end up grabbing some iota, can I just "leave it there" similar to Coinbase?

On second thought this sounds like something I may just pass on, I'll just keep by eth and ltc and call it a day with a lot less headaches lol

I have been using coinbase to buy my Bitcoin and transferring it to my Binance account to diversify the way I want. Does anyone know or recommend an easier way to do this? I have not found a way to put my USD directly into Binance.

For those using both Binance & Poloniex, how do you like Poloniex over Binance. I could not get my ID verification to go through on Polonies so I gave up and went with Binance. Should I consider working through it and sticking with Poloniex, or stick with Binance?

Apparently this is the best way. There is no way to put USD into Binance.

I haven't had a complaint about Polo yet.

i use both. never had any issues on poloniex.i guess Jones says he knows people who have had withdrawal issues on large amounts but all my withdrawals have been under $10k and ive never had a problem

im invested into IOTA and FunFair and those are not available on poloniex but theyre are available on binance. it does appear that binance gives you more variety and i like the favorites option where i can keep track of all the coins im interested in on one tab

From what I understand, and I am learning as I go, is that there was a larger fee for the direct transfer, but because GDAX and coinbase are partnered, I wouldn't have to pay as much.

Ah gotcha. I thought that might be what it was. I've just been transferring directly from Coinbase to Binance.
