I'm 46 and am purchasing a 200k term policy (tobacco) with State Farm. What things could show up on the medical exam that would prevent me from getting coverage? Please, no speculation.

I mean, there are lots of things. I would assume you are having a blood and urine test done. If your liver enzymes are way out of wack, that is something. HIV is another.
Is there anything in particular you are worried about?

some companies view marijuana use as tobacco use. I'm not sure about state farm on the issue. Do you take any meds? DWI's in your history? diagnosed with anything in the last 5 -10 years?
Do your bloodwork in the morning after fasting and do not drink alcohol or eat salty/greasy the night before.

Prozac is usually not big deal unless there was extensive counselling and/or suicidal tendencies. If its just mild depression it will sometimes not change your risk class as all.

I have a 250,000 through Alfa. I had to have a medical exam and blood test after 20 years if I'm still alive I will get almost all of it back that I put in I pay 123 a quarter for my policy
