Earnings Reports. No way these companies are worth what they're trading at. Analysts are predicting Canopy Growth does 100M this quarter when Canada only sold 100M of marijuana. I think a lot of the big names will fall way under the predictions and bring the market back with it.

This isn't a stock to invest in based on their financial performance to date - they are basically a start up as a cannabis company. I think the last quarter financials that I saw showed a loss of $400K, with their only income being very small sales numbers from tangential products and primarily the rent on the greenhouse they lease to a non-profit collective. But keep in mind that Tilray ran from $150 to $280+ in one day, with a cap over $20 billion, when they were still losing $12+ million in one quarter. Livewire's audited financials showed double the loss that their unaudited financials showed, but the fact remains that they audited and released the audited numbers due to the transparency required to uplist to OTCQB. They also released their full share structure last month. Have you followed on investor hub and viewed all of the financial documents and share disclosures that were linked through that site?
Regardless of the losses they've shown while spending close to 2 years acquiring permits, licenses, properties, and ownership stakes in other companies, they now have 1 of their 3 locations fully licensed and growing cannabis. They've reached the point that they will now start producing revenue, with much bigger things at the other 2 sites nearing completion also. That's what we're investing in. Also, if you go back to page one, my suggestion from the start was that people throw $500-$1,000 at it, recoup your original investment on one of the spikes, and ride free shares.

That's not going to have much affect on a company like Livewire though. If anything, you'll probably see people bail out of the Canadian market and shift their money to California, which will be an exponentially larger market and is just getting started.

Honestly, I may sell my shares of CGC the day before the report. If the call goes better than expected, well, I still sold at a 75% profit. If it goes poorly, well, I still sold at a 75% profit.

Honestly, after LVVV, I am done with speculation stocks. I’ll take my 30 yr avg of 11% returns/gains on S&P index funds @ $1k a month for 30 years and retire with $2M+ before my work 401k and be just swell.
I may play with a couple on the side just out of boredom. As I've said, simple 3-4 fund portfolio stuff with a goal of 5-6% long term will be my main investment strategy. But I'm enjoying following LVVV like this. There are enough things coming down the pipeline that I don't see any way I don't get my "5-6%" and then some. The dips don't bother me any more. I've wanted to throw a few bucks at APRU and High Hampton, but I don't want to get caught up in chasing pennies. But once the LVVV ride is done, I'll probably pick a couple others and play with them on the side.
ETA: But I don’t view those others in the same light as LVVV, which is just the right opportunity at the right place in the right sector. I see the others as something that might go up 25-50%, not 1,000% or more. Just like crypto or dot.com, it’s a sector that’s giving unreasonable returns. And it’s hard to find a company right on the cusp of big revenue, doing things with full compliance, for just a couple pennies.

As I said before, I am sticking with index funds in the future for these side investments. I'll take my moderate return and be perfectly happy. I find myself these days chasing the next piece of info or the next hint at what could happen that I'm checking my fidelity account hourly (probably more). Let my ETF hit the bank bi-monthly, set it to buy as many index shares as I can and not look back until I need money for whatever.

This is my thought, as well. Possible passage of HR 420 will allow the US market to take a similar path as the Canadian market has with much more earnings potential. That's why a company like SLNG is interesting, because they're concentrating their efforts on the US.

Yeah my index funds I don’t even look at. Set it and forget it. I’m glad the Livewire thing isn’t affecting the way I look at my “real” stuff. If I followed the regular stuff like I follow LVVV, I’d drive myself insane.

My 401k (Vanguard) I don't look at it. It's in "set it and forget it" phase right now. My Fidelity account has about 17-20 stocks in it that are mostly flyers. I do have the one index fund that already has about 30% of the total in my fidelity and will only get higher (unless LVVV takes off like a rocket). Could all this one day be something? Sure, but I don't count on any of the money for long term goals.
ETA: I am fortunate to save about 40% of my salary besides money I put into stocks like these so I'll never NEED the money, but it could make things A LOT easier down the road.

High Hampton up over 25% today and has doubled in the past month or so. I think they are going to do big things, and soon. Mojave Jane will pump out revenue for them quickly.
They were pushing near a dollar in April (and over $1.00 near the end of ‘17) but took a dive due to CEO issues. Went down to 12 cents a few weeks ago. Been around 20 cents this week but shot up to 27 cents today so far. They acquired Mojave Jane and appointed its two guys CEO and COO. They are ramping up Mojave Janes production from 30 L up to 115 L/ month, which should produce revenues around $1.25 million/month. By the end of the quarter they may take off if they can show those numbers. They also got 6 state licenses for one of their locations, for cultivation, distribution, everything.
ETA: Don’t know much more than that about them, but if anyone is looking ror something new, it’s one that’s worth looking into.

Why didn’t you tell us that would happen
And why are you making us lose money on lvvv

There have been plenty opportunities to cash out and run with significant gains. You're supposed to be buying low and selling high... I can't help it if you didn't sell the highs.

Yep, someone likes our stuff...
I still think Bill may hold off on reporting any revenue numbers until after the uplist. But who knows...

Wow, Namaste taking a nosedive today. After all the other drama, I really thought they were going to recover strongly. Guess not.
Speaking of drama, any of you following the LVVV lawsuit drama on IH? I was a bit worried at first look, but after reading the 10 page dismissal judgement, no worries. Gave my non-expert opinion over there. Slow trading day so far, but it hasn’t caused any price decline.
