For those looking into other stocks in this sector, one of the guys on investorshub has been tracking dozens of cannabis stocks for a few years. Here’s a list he recently posted of some of the top performers:

I was doing some reading on how Market Makers manipulate these penny stocks, and it seems obvious that we see a lot of this going on with LVVV at times due to the low volume.

What prompted this was that a poster on investorshub posted a link showing how much of LVVV’s volume was short volume today - over 70% was short volume the past 2 days.

Reading up on short volume and its implications, I ran across this explanation that most short volume is due to Market Makers and not true shorts.
quote:

Daily short volume, as reported by FINRA, is very misunderstood. Most people think daily short volume is just that — the volume that bearish investors put on to add to their short positions. A short glance at the change for total short positions reported bimonthly to the NASDAQ debunks that belief. Short volume isn’t the same as short interest.

In truth, much of the short volume is due to market makers selling into the market a few fractions of a second/minute/hour before they close their position by executing a broker order.

I then read a reddit post that explained Market Maker manipulation in detail - it really seems to mirror exactly what happens on a day like today, in which LVVV opened at .037 (well above yesterday’s close), dropped as low as .02675, then rebounded to .030 at close.

Reddit post

Anyway, I just found it to be an interesting read. There have been several days recently when the stock seemed poised for a breakout, people were hitting the ask, and then it suddenly seemed to get walked down. There are plenty days when I’m watching this stock all day long and looking at almost every trade, and some days it just doesn’t seem logical. Now it all makes more sense.

Very much, except they can also be more tangible and legit companies. But many run on pure hype.

TigrrDad, that reddit post about the OTC BB manipulation via shorting was very informative, thank you.

MMs can not relate to long-term holders in the OTC BB. That makes absolutely no sense what so ever.

Basically, the only way LVVV takes off is if more people invest, hold, and go long. Otherwise we're at the whims of the short sellers as long as we're on the OTC.

Hopefully the uplisting will bring better visibility, maybe some new investors and shake out some of these MMs.

Our time will come. Right now we’re tading a bit over a million on average days, and 2-4 million on our big days - but back in May when it ran to .08, it was trading in the tens of millions of shares/day. That volume will come back when the time is right, and when it does it will be resistant to manipulation.

Right now it presents an opportunity for swing trading as long as they bring it back down after every small run. I’ve always eyed the end of Q2 as the time we start showing good revenue, so I’m going to try flipping and rebuying until then. Trying to grab 50K more tomorrow, then I’ll flip 100K soon.

ETA: A few times in the past week or so, we’ve hit around .037, and each time it seemed like people were still hitting the ask when the ask started dropping - each time I’m saying “WTF?!?!” I think the Market Makers are working hard to keep it in the 3s until we get the news after the Jan. 18 meeting, but once that permit is announced I think we run through the 4s quickly. I think we might see at least 6s next week, then settle back to 4s in a couple weeks. But that’s just a guess - if I could predict stock prices I’d have bought LVVV a couple years sooner.

I’d also keep an eye on High Hampton Holdings (HHPHF). As I mentioned previously, they just got 6 state licenses approved. They took over Mojave Jane (who does extraction) and are instantly ramping up production to 100-115L/month with expected revenue of $1.25 million/month from that alone. They have very big plans in the works and have $15 million in cash to get things rolling. They are at 21 cents right now, but could be huge in a year or two. I sure hope LVVV can work out a deal to supply them clones.

ETA: Only around 100 million shares outstanding too, which is 1/10th of LVVV’s share count.

Doesn’t LVVV have something to do with Mojave Jane?

Livewire had a small stake in ownership (I think around 5%) and also signed a letter of intent that gave them the option of 100% ownership. However, they released Mojave Jane from that and allowed High Hampton to buy Mojave Jane, and Livewire got a chunk of High Hampton stock out of the deal. Interestingly, High Hampton then appointed the 2 guys who run Mojave Jane as CEO and COO of High Hampton. Livewire was also the master distributor for Mojave Jane, but it appears High Hampton’s own distribution division (stil awaiting that license) will handle that. Bill (Livewire CEO) has said he was working on a deal with them, so possibly it is for clone sales. He is supposed to have a very good relationship with Mojave’s guys who now run High Hampton. A deal with them could be huge in the future. Livewire just didn’t have the cash to put behind Mojave like High Hampton did right away, but one would think Livewire wouldn’t let them go if the deal was not beneficial to Livewire.

ETA: Anyone else loading up shares this week pending Friday’s news? I grabbed 100K between Monday and today, all between .028 -.0308, to get to 500K total (my average is now .0308). Definitely plan on flipping 100K if we run over the .05-.06 range in the next week.

Nice buy. I didn't have enough patience to leave my bid at .0275 this morning.

Same here, I didn’t even try going low today - just wanted to grab my 50K and wasn’t sure which way it would move, and I didn’t think it would move enough to affect my average at all so I just bought first thing this morning. Those days when you ride it out and nail the lows are fun days though.

Several disclosures and documents being dug up on the other board, so we may be getting closer to uplisting. This may be a sign that more info was requested from our original application and has been submitted now.

Question for you good sir.

I see the uplisting being talked about as a driving factor for the stock. Do you know the soon-to-be (hopefully) listing vs say HHPHF's listing?

Both just say "OTC Other", but not sure if that is just a generic term.

Thanks!

In my opinion it will be somewhere between 2-4 weeks. I don't think it will occur over the next week.

From what it looked like they submitted everything months ago and it bounced back two days ago with additional information they needed to send, perhaps inclusion of extra financials or generic fixes to their reports.

I wouldn't hold your breath over the uplisting. It'll happen soon but chances are you won't time it.

Are you asking which exchange they’ll be moving to?
If so, it is the OTCQB., which is the second highest OTC tier. OTCQX is higher, and OTC Pink is lower (where they currently reside).
From what I’ve read, uplisting boosts share price by 25-30% on average, though it varies. But the big advantage will be that it should expose us to a larger group of investors. The highest volume I’ve seen for LVVV was 40 million shares traded in a day back in March ‘18, with many days 10-20 million from March to May. At that volume, we won’t be subject to manipulation by Market Makers.
