Fun Facts:

30 Participants

85 Stocks Picked

60 unique picks (only chosen by one person)

25 repeats (chosen by at least two people)

Here's the count for those picked multiple times...Amazon leading the pack at 9, selected by almost 1/3rd of all participants.

I'd love to see the sector allocations. From that list, it looks like 40% or so of picks are tech stocks. This is definitely a high beta universe of stocks

Interesting...I'll try and pull something when I have some time.

Moots, if you built a portfolio on Morningstar I believe one of the customization options for your report is industry or sector classification, not sure which it was.

I'm not at my PC now (on iPad) so I'll pull up my portfolio tomorrow and see where I saw that option.

Yep...It's there...I've already added it to the watch list. I'll probably get it posted tomorrow.

I thought I was the only person with BB on my radar. Been sitting on the sidelines for now but I've been waiting for a pull back. I have trouble buying when trading near a 52 week high. But beside from that QNX could be a winner.

AXP
UNP
STLD
TGT
CSCO

However, forecasts are worthless without following the charts. Thought processes, winners & behavior changes faster than you realize. This has been my list for 3 months (switched RDSA for CSCO) but it won’t look the same Q3 of 2018.

I've been bullish on it ever since Citron came out with a BULL case on it.

Here you go...Of the 88 stocks selected, here's the Morningstar breakdown by Sector.

Not quite the 40% tech you predicted, but pretty dominant.

Very nice. Thanks. Lots of tech and cyclicals.

I predict we'll have a few people breach the -50% mark.

Moots, not a criticism at all because you're doing a much better job than I ever would have of reporting the contest results, but my list shows 89 different stocks picked not 88. Not that it matters....

Is anybody else surprised there's only 5 names in energy?

Hmm...Not sure, If I'm missing one, we need to find it.

I have the 85 that I posted on page 4 of this thread, and then I added b-rab2's picks. two of which were already on the board (V, BB) and three which were not (MTCH, FOLD, WM)

I am.. If we were doing this back in Oct. I would have picked up a few energy.. They've run pretty fast as of late. I remember selling ITM Puts on USO back in september.. That was the time to get in oil. I mean look at SLB and HAL they've run hard the past month.

Edit: With that being said, I do like MRO. ha
