not sure how i feel about it. i literally bought one a month or so ago because of all the preaching about "not your keys, not your coins".

What could go wrong with storing your seed phrase with a 3rd party...

Yeah I’m also not a fan. If there is a back door available for me there’s a backdoor available for anyone.

You can’t really call it cold storage if the secure element of the storage is in fact, hot.

I've spent all morning reading up on this shite and it was hard to sift through all emotional responses to this.

Based on what I was able to gather, I'll keep using ledger for now. I. Won't be opting into this option.

Some made the argument that just having the option to opt in itself opens you to vulnerabilities, but that has been debunked.

The purist are obviously not happy that it's even an option but while I won't subscribe to it, I don't hate this for mass adoption.

I think it’s a reasonable fear. Can you provide the link or explanation for why it’s debunked?

i'm also hearing/reading the the Nano S (non-+ models) aren't eligble for this since the tech is too old so that's a plus i guess.

well I have a Nano S and a Nano X

I will say if they mislead people on what their product actually does (provides cold storage), I feel somewhat entitled to a full refund on that product.

I have had a couple of wallets, but I have settled on the GameStop one. It is really good. Currently only available as browser extension or Apple App.

I can't wait for the Android release. I don't know what the hold up is. Probably for the market place https://nft.gamestop.com/ to come out of Beta.

What else are some of yall using besides a ledger? I use an X as my main wallet, but this has me looking for another cold wallet.

Sounds like a trick so you never really own it

I have five ledgers. I’m dumping all of them and switching to another cold wallet.
