I never really trade intraday. I typically am looking anywhere from 20-60 days out with a catalyst in there or a nice technical setup. Sometimes shorter time frame for earnings.

This is a unique circumstance with Tesla as I saw opportunity to go long calls a couple of weeks ago. Kind of lucked out I sold at the top yesterday. Anyone that's been involved in the stock market long enough knows a move like that is not sustainable. Then saw the AH and PM move and saw another opportunity.

But yeah, I don't typically close my options until closer to expiration if I made a directional play.

Why not? Tesla has not yet dipped its toes into the biotech pool.

Hate to break it to you but indexing is how you get exposed to companies like Tesla. That's why their S&P inclusion will become a big story the next few years for them.

This is so overpriced. 70% chance it goes the way of Solar City.
