Would you mind defining "Fed apologist"?

I ask because I'd like to see if I'm one. Thanks.

This right here is the story. For all of you who are panicking: This is what I voted for.

I’m a bit surprised markets are taking a “bad news is bad news” approach to this report.

Or, you're completely overlooking that the Trump tariffs for Canada went into effect this morning after numerous head fakes on tariffs.

THAT is what the market is reacting to.

So, which is it? If they're illegal the concensus on this site is that they are just a drain on our resources. This would indicate that they are documented workers and are paying into our system.

Bullshiitte....maybe we should not have taxed 30% of our economy.

Everyone with a brain knows what this is. you can't take roughly $100B out of the private economy in 3 months and not have that economy struggle.

Are you under the impression that an illegal worker is considered documented?

But if we had a massive amount of illegals that were "questionably" on payroll, wouldn't that have added jobs that should now be on payroll?

I'm not sure that argument makes any sense here, I don't see how illegal immigrants leaving from the "workforce" should do anything but increase official payrolls? How were they being paid if they were illegal? If they were on payroll, why would they leave?

Well, they aren't the people that are picking oranges on a farm and being paid under the table. That is an undocumented worker.

If they were on a payroll and paying taxes by definition they would be a documented worker. "Illegal" or not.

This is an interesting discussion and hopefully not one that gets dive-bombed by the usual suspects.

I guess in that sense, they are “documented”. I thought you were referring to their legal status.

To the other poster: illegal aliens are added to the payroll data if they pay payroll taxes and have a “fake” ss number. Around 60% of illegal alien workers are on a payroll. So yes, large amounts of self and forced deportation would show up in data

What data backs this up? He is not late. I support data driven decisions. We may get one in near future, but past data didn't support it, imo.

He sucks them off so he gets inside info for his reporting. Do you do that? If so, you’re probably carrying their water, yes.

Nah, I've never sucked anyone off. And I sure as hell don't get any "inside information." But I wish I could get it....

I have to say, you sound very bitter. Why is that?
