Sounds like this Jassy dude is no slouch. Has been with the company for 25 years and obviously has all the trust of Bezos. But he's only worth about $377MM. fricking lightweight.

Whoa. I figured he would stay on as CEO for a long, long time.

My god they crushed it. Only reason this isn’t up 5% after hours is because of the Bezos news. Once the shock wears off and upgrades come in this week this thing will run.

Their main earning driver is AWS and surprisingly it missed.
But yeah coupled that with Bezos stepping down, pretty impressive it is still flat.
quote:
Revenue at AWS climbed to $12.7 billion from $9.95 billion a year earlier, below the $12.83 billion consensus estimate among analysts polled by FactSet. AWS revenue represented 10% of Amazon’s total sales. AWS continued to drive much of Amazon’s profit. Operating income increased 37% from a year earlier to $3.56 billion, but trailing the $3.75 billion FactSet consensus estimate. That means 52% of the company’s operating income can be attributed to AWS, compared with about two-thirds in the same period a year ago.

He’s going to be remaking executive of the board. Pursuing focus on Blue Origin and The Post

Don't forget that he had to give his ex-wife $38 billion in the divorce...times have been lean at the Bezos house.

Yup, hopefully he can feed his family. Dude's juts trying to make a living

So it sounds like Jassy married a woman named Elana Caplan in 1997, but the picture it pulls up for that search is Elana Caplan marrying another woman in 2017. Did he get divorced and now she's playing for the other team? That would be such a Seattle thing to do.

Wait...is that saying that he was paid less than $200k in 2017?
And that he then got 19MM shares in 2018?!

Wow! That's almost $67 billion.

That can't be shares...has to be the value of the shares received. If so he only made close to $20MM in 2018.

LOL at that Olavsky dude. He got screwed in 2019.

Yeah, you're right. Still...not bad for a year's work. The SVP of business development didn't do so bad either.

Some of us make more than Amazon leadership

I wonder if this news and move has anything to do with a health issue with Bezos.
