I saw that they received a $200 million grant from someone too on the 12th. The stocks fell pretty hard yesterday. I don't know what to think about today,

I saw Roth dropped his price target from $33 to $27 Which seems odd.
If Wkhs does not get the bid the stock will crash so maybe Roth thinks Wkhs will only get 25% of the bid idk

Somebody better fix this $&@" now !

Don’t take this as a criticism or a dig, but whether you’re investing or trading, when you start referring to paper profits as “winnings”, you’re starting down a dark, slippery path.

Just sayin’. Good luck and I hope the car (and wife) situation works out.

Cool. It’s the wife situation that concerns me. My (formerly) married friends tell me that’s the fastest way to give up 50% of your winnings.

Depends. Are you in them as trades or longer term investments?

They’re both kind of sketch so ideally I would get out when they hit 30 again

But that may never happen

So it’s more of a trade? If 30 is the price at which you’d ring the register, *maybe* consider writing a 30 strike covered call for some or all of your shares. The Oct. 30/ 30 call is going for about .65 right now. If it hits, you collect $65 (minus fees) for each 100 shares + $3,000. If it doesn’t, you keep the premium and reduce your cost basis each time you do that. Just throwing out an idea.

And take into account that WKHS announces earnings somewhere around the first part of November.

You should make a thread on how to do options because I feel like most of us have no idea

Thatguy777 is someone you want to follow on here if you’re playing the long side of options or thinking about it. I’m almost exclusively a seller of premium. But we both look at probabilities and risk/reward.

But some of these basic selling strategies (like covered calls) won’t get you in trouble, AS LONG AS you have a plan for what you want to do going into the trade. Always ask yourself what’s the worst case scenario, and if you’re prepared for it to happen. Course, a person should do that when buying a stock too.

Check your account to see if you have covered call (or even cash covered put) approval. It’s easy to get.

Yes, the CBOE is a great resource. TD Ameritrade also offers some good tutorials. For people who want to delve into option/premium selling, Tastytrade and Option Alpha also have lots of free material and advice. Most of what I do is based on their methodologies.

For those with a proven track record and believe that they’re ready to go pro, there’s a proprietary trading firm called SMB Capital that will back you. But you have to be completely serious about making this a profession. They also offer prop services to stock and futures traders.

It’s just a learning curve. All of you guys who have open minds and are putting in the time and effort will do just fine. I’ll be asking you for advice this time next year.

I could do condors and shite if I wanted to or understood them. I’m not sure if Etrade wants to lose my money or what but I never applied for permission. I’d rather go long on rando stocks where I don’t know what the company does I guess

I'm assuming it'll probably bounce around 21-24 or so for the foreseeable future until the usps contract is announced or some other contract is awarded.

Long term I think it'll be fine...short term could go way up or down depending on the outcome of that usps contract.
