Become an authorized user on a family member's credit card. They can get a card in your name and put it in the drawer and never use it. The authorized user gets partial credit for the repayment history. Obviously, you need to choose a trustworthy family member to help with this.

Would depend on why you want to establish credit, imo

I used a secured credit card. Not sure if that's the best option, but it's an option.

Just keep doing what you are doing, you obviously do not need it

If you want it, we can assume you have a bank and not burying money in your back yard. Since you are paying items in cash and flipping houses, we can also assume you have sizable bank accounts or at least have passed several hundreds of thousands (if not millions) through banks Build it through them. Take out a loan and pay it off, they will probably trust you based off your account activity. Get a credit card through from the bank.

Why start now? What you are seeking to finance may change the method.

A debit card would handle those.

Your bank or a starter card. Many credit issuers have them.

What do you need credit for?

Get a gas card or credit card.

My paw paw was like this. He wasn't a baller, but worth a couple million. He had no credit record whatsoever. He had never borrowed $1 from anyone in his life. It used to piss him off so much he had to pay a deposit to get cable, phone service etc

Uncle Frank?

Seriously, I had this discussion a few years ago with a family member that was pretty much identical.
We were able to get him a small credit card to start with around a $500 limit that after just a few years, was increased to around $5k.
He also took out an small 18mo auto loan with his bank using an existing car as collateral, put the money in a high interest saving account and paid it off with those proceeds. That cost him a small amount money but jump started his credit.

He was wanting to establish some credit history to do a land deal and it worked.

Do not use a debit card. It doesn't help with credit and if someone skims it, they are taking your money and not the banks.

If you've paid cash for everything for 67 years why do you need credit now ?

They have credit cards for low credit which you can use / pay/ use/ pay on and on to build your credit.

They are usually low amts like $400.00 and have fees but are more a tool to build a history of paying

Look at CreditOne, Fortiva etc
