In the next 5 to 6 years?

It'll probably go up, then down, then back up again, the maybe down a little but not too much.

Very high on that timeframe, possibly $2000 plus.
That said currently the risk is to the downside. Elliot Wave chart not hitting $1,100 on the recent recovery afree April lows indicates below $700 more likely than $1100 after earnings next week.
I think you can get in much lower than current price today, but if your timeframe is that far no problem nibbling here.

Nah. Their numbers will be strong when they report next week. The stock has had a great week, up 6%. Looks like investors adding to their position before earnings come out.

I think it really depends on what the competition can accomplish in the next few years.
I don't think there is any doubt that AI is going to have an equal or greater impact on humanity than the internet did and right now Nividia is in the lead to take advantage of that.

If AI is the real deal then it will go much higher.
I recall in the 90s bio science stocks went way up for a time, dot.com boom in late 90s/early 00. Only a handful of winners here over the long term.
I’ve added to my position when it’s dipped below $800.
I’ve been in it for more than 10 years. I don’t plan to sell any of my position for quite awhile unless something drastically changes.

Lots of variables over the next 5 or 6 years, but I am very bullish for the next year or so. I intended to add to my position a few days ago and ran into a hiccup moving money between accounts. It is up 6% this week, and am now hoping for a small dip between now and their earnings report next week. Nvda will beat the market over the next year.

Ai is fake and isn’t gonna be ready to do anything major within the next 5 years
The progress off the bots they make are clearly going linear rather than exponential and they’ve hit diminishing marginal return on just adding more computing power to it
Y’all got all worked up over the 2020’s version of smarterchild
I think in the next couple years it’ll all be revealed as a sham but I doubt they put Sam Altman in prison or anything

ETA: I didn’t say nvda wouldn’t keep going up
I’m sure when we’re all in rags huddled around burning barrels for warmth in 10 years nvda will be at 1500

Sam Altman and Liz Holmes both have carny eyes

NVDA’s “problem” going forward will be their earnings growth lapping more and more profitable quarters. I’m sure it will double in price over time, but their growth will slow and the question will become how much the market is willing to pay up for that slowing growth rate.
I think it will soon - like next two years - run into the problems that Microsoft faced in the mid 2000s and Apple has today which is the fact they’re one of the largest companies in the world and growth on that base becomes more difficult.

AI has already replaced about 50% of what my lawyer does for me in my government contracting and real estate biz.
I have three Colombians that work for me and do not have perfect Enlgish, they use it daily to improve their e-mail communication with the government.
Yesterday, it gave me high level spanish lessons and corrected my grammar (audio).
My mother owns a tutoring company and has already lost one client to AI.
Major shifts are coming in the way the world operates.

Until another competitor can catch up, they will continue to rise.
I agree AI stocks will temper some, until it reaches a more physical use.
AI is locked in a virtual world mostly, living in a computer/phone ecosystem. It needs to get leveraged more in a more physical way. Actually controlling physical items, with true autonomy. This would be making the jump from Narrow AI to General AI, which does not exist yet.
If we make that jump, hold on to your butts though, it will get pretty freaky after that. General AI should make the nerfing they do to narrow AI, almost impossible.

I guess ai is ok if they get rid of lawyers but they couldn’t ever teach the robots something useful like welding

Will be dumping my position before earnings.
How the market reacts is too random. If it has a big dip will buy back in.

I know this is your thing, but you got to be more subtle. That hook was very shiney, that even the dumbest will not fall for it.
But just in-case an Aggie stumbles in

MSFT is up 20x from the mid-2000s
