means there are 44,000 option contracts that are currently being held by buyers who have the option to purchase AMC for $145/share on 6/11/21
Why in the frick would someone set a buy option that high?

Early ORTEX data is showing a net increase in borrowed shares of 1.2MM so far this morning. Borrowing costs are down today, however.

Because you could make 100% on your money if the stock gets to like $70 today.

$70 today? Can't even break $60..

You really rubbed some people the wrong way ha! They are jumping on you for explaining a hypothetical to someone as if you said "this will happen"

Yeah, and greyparrot and sasquatch haven't made any proclamations or claims in this thread that didn't come to pass as they predicted.
My favorite was quadruple witching hour. Though the "those were april shares" one is creeping up there since it could be so easily confirmed yet everyone just believed what the shills told them.

looks like most stocks are dipping right now. Any news drop on that may be affecting the stock market?

a close second was Slackster proclaiming AMC couldn't hold $14.50
Link?
I said it’s struggled to hold that price post-January, and I was right. It got to $14 4 days in a row and couldn’t close above it other than the last day of that stretch. 3 days later it was down 14%. It had a lot of resistance at that price - it didn’t close above $14 for consecutive days until it closed at $16 two weeks ago and hasn’t slowed down since. It had struggled to get a clean break, but I never said it couldn’t hold, I said it hadn’t held.

I fell for this on WSB like a year ago, maybe two years ago. Either way I had a tiny portfolio and dumped everything into calls bc quadruple witching hour was supposed to make the market fly, ended up the market tanked and I lost everything

I think about it like this...Wall St professionals know their shite, so if there is a date and/or event that is known, they will plan for it well before I will. Basically, I didn't think they'd be going "quadruple witching hour is in 5 weeks, we're so fricked, there's nothing we can do."

GME and AMC to be added to RUSSELL 1000 if market cap stays at current levels on June 25
Greyparrot, ladies and gentlemen.

Oh yea you’re absolutely right, I had just started trading at that point. It’s not as easy as it sounds, you gotta be steps ahead

So he is sharing info that he found from another site...guess you have never, ever, not even once read something from elsewhere and posted it here without "citing" it.... i assume that is what you want him to do or you just doing us all a solid to let us know that he read the info from elsewhere and posted it on here?
Thanks i guess?

The point is that the next original thought he has that isn't parroted from Reddit will be his first. He doesn't even understand the detail behind much of what he brings over. It's CTRL C, CTRL V

Newest numbers are now a net decrease of 1.5MM borrowed shares. Cost to borrow has come down slightly too.

Back in the green today.
Volume is coming way down, relatively speaking. You have to wonder how much money there is to go around between al of the others new/resurgent meme stocks.
On the bright side, it doesn’t appear that people are dumping AMC and running to the CLOV of the world en masse either.
