Stock has an almost +100% day but you just have to be a Debbie downer. Even if you think you’re right, sometimes it’s just the kind thing to do to sit down and let people enjoy their moment. Damn man.

Debatable. If that additional dilution gets them solvent long term or position them for new and major revenue streams, yes, but it would likely just be pushing out the inevitable crash, unless they drastically adjust their business model.

What’s interesting about these fundamental disconnections between price and value is the potential it could bring to your business model. What if they made so much money from selling shares at 100x their fair value they could afford to sell tickets for $0.50 for the next few years and crush the competition? That’s a crazy scenario, but this is a crazy situation.

ETA: markets aren’t supposed to do this

Squatch believes in a conspiracy theory that has AMC stock taking down the entire global economy before it skyrockets to a market cap larger than the total US stock market and the fed prints money just to pay AMC shareholders after all of the hedge funds have been bankrupted. Sounds reasonable doesn't it?
I imagine the pucker factor is past 11 right now at Citadel HQ.

Large Marge is about to give them a call.

They are already the largest theater chain in North America and Europe. Didn't Regal go under during the pandemic? Cinemark is the only other I know of.

It’s not a conspiracy technically when the data and numbers prove that it should and can happen. I believe we have a MOASS. To 100k, I doubt it. 20-30k very likely. The insurance policy citadel has is more than stock market. Rules are in place to prevent the world economy to collapse when it does squeeze

Because they can't count stock sales as revenue and their overhead would be just as enormous, so their negative EPS would be even more ridiculous than it has been. Yeah, they'd crush the competition but it's a largely dying industry. An example world be wall mounted phones... yes, the market leader could've priced each at a loss to destroy the competition but it wouldn't have changed the fact that cell phones were going to replace them no matter what. Streaming is the cell phone.

If I'm looking for input on an investment decision I would appreciate someone telling me the person giving me advice is completely out to lunch with their beliefs. Just me though.

He lost $75 on this $7.50 prediction. I'd be pissed too.

Remind me- what was your much better play that I missed? Did you have an opportunity for us or was the goal just saving folks from this ride?

What makes you think I am or was pissed? It was a fraction of a fraction of my investment account. I've actually enjoyed the hell out of this thread.

I get a $75 loss may be a big deal to you or others. Luckily it's not for me.

You've made a hell of a lot more money than most in this thread.
