High net worth cash holdings

Noticed the conventional wisdom on here is that you should limit cash holdings in banks to the insured maximum. Obviously with a couple of hundred thousand in cash, that's easy to do.
However, what about for individuals with $100 million or more in net worth. What do with the cash portion of their wealth - treasuries???I know that there are private market insurance alternatives, but I saw one company owned by Buffet is pulling out of the market. Must be a real headache right now.

Just hold the cash and enjoy the deflation...

Not speaking about generating huge returns, just protecting it from a bank failure.

Jersey - how do salaries react to deflation?

Doubtful anyone that wealthy just keeps cash lying around, they'll have it in money market accounts at the very least. Or bonds like you suggested.
But someone with that kind of money isn't getting advice here on TD, so maybe they're doing something else. Maybe they just trade the rights to soccer players and hookers instead.

JT, with your talk of 50% correction in asset values I may have to retreat to my family farm in Keithville and build a big wall around it. As the wells start to come in I can hire a private security force to keep out the refugees!
