FAR. Putting about 40 hours into the last two times I took it I got a 73 and 74. I'm taking it the end of October and I already have around 70 study hours. I'm going to destroy it.

Don't you live in Florida? I don't think there is a work requirement for Florida--you just need the credit hours to sit for the exam.
I personally wouldn't put the time and resources into it unless it helps your career.

This isn't in response to the OP but I felt very fortunate to go the 'easy' route in getting my CPA about 15 years ago.
B.S. in Accounting (128 hours). One additional semester to complete the accounting course requirements (bonus for classes focused on exam) plus a couple of easy electives. Followed by two online courses to get the 150 hours.
Back then, pass two parts on 1st try, which allowed focus on the two that I was weaker.
Worked public for my 1st year out of school but quickly realized it's much better to be in a big city working in industry (especially with CPA).

Don't you need the hours to get the designation? Or am I thinking of the CFP?

After passing all four sections of the Uniform CPA Examination, you are only a few steps away from obtaining your Florida CPA license. a. Obtain the required experience. As a Florida candidate, you are required to have on year of work experience that satisfies the following criteria: Involves the use of accounting, attest, compilation, management advisory, financial advisory, tax, or consulting skills in any type of service or consulting. Please note that if your supervisor is not a CPA, you cannot have another CPA verify your experience, even if they are familiar with your work. Gained through employment in government, industry, academia, or public practice and constitute a substantial part of the applicant's duties. Does not have to be consecutive. Part of it can be gained before taking the exam part and after. However, any experience gained prior to completing the educational requirement cannot be counted. b. Document work experience using the Verification of Work Experience form. This will include verification by the supervising CPA that the candidate rendered similar services as are normally performed by full-time, regularly employed staff employees for a minimum of 2,000 hours gained over a period of no fewer than 52 weeks and no more than 104 weeks. Your verifying CPA should forward the completed form directly to:
I'm self employed. How in the hell could I do this?

Easiest route would be go work for a CPA firm for a year.
Otherwise... call the board and see what they can work out. They want you doing CPA-type work under the supervision of a CPA. You may well do CPA-type work now... but it's not under the supervision of a CPA.
