Saw on the news today, that benefits will be reduced starting in May, as part of the sequester. They listed 3 states (Cali, Georgia, and 3rd) that will see a reduction of over 15%.

If they file jointly, yeah that's true.

But even if she is getting 30% taken off the top, she's still better off working than trying to game the system with UI, side jobs, fraud and tax evasion.

Some, yes. They wanted to make bank and not willing to work at lower paying jobs. Others, I'm sure they tried.

Fair enough. I can agree with that.

I think there were definitely people who held out for high paying jobs that weren't coming back.
