Be patient and add on pullbacks. You will get opportunities at lower prices but you must have discipline! All the best to you all

I’m such a novice at this, it’s fun, but I have no idea what I’m doing obviously. Thanks for the advice.

New at this as well and could kick myself for not buying on Monday. All the stocks I was watching are up at least 50%. Was afraid I missed out on it all.

There's no way this sticks entirely, but I'm starting to think we might not fully retest. We are riding a sugar high from fed and stimulus right now.

Still have some powder left, not much, so I hope we do retest lows.

Something tells me there’s thousands of others just like you and myself.

:raises hand:

It is difficult seeing all the green on TDA and not jumping in. I have alarms set for certain stocks I want. If it hits, great....If not, I still have money in my pocket.

Any particular stocks you pros are watching? Currently waiting on NCLH to go back around $17

LAMR and PK has treated me well so far

Wouldn't hate it, I used this last month to make my portfolio into exactly what I wanted. I'm barely trailing dow today (thanks to BX which I bought whole way down) with 12% cash still in the account, so we can ride.

I've been seriously investing for about 4 yrs now so I'm no expert, but if there's one thing that always seems true, when you feel like everything is running away, it almost never pays off to jump in. When you start feeling hopeless; that is usually the best time to buy.

I'm sure we will have pullbacks, but it may be 10% higher from where we are now. At this point, I'm not sure what news is going to cause a major pull back. We will most likely start seeing the effectiveness of these COVID treatments in the data and barring the House not passing the stimulus, there isn't much else to cause a major pullback. We had an awful jobless claims report and we're up 5%.

A lot of stuff was so oversold that it’s just trying to catch up now.

Should I be looking to buy anything now or should I wait for a drop?

Idk. I’m waiting for some kind of pullback. I bought some gold just to hedge against some inflation.

Do NOT make the mistake of thinking that any of us are pros. We're just (anonymous) people with opinions. Some of us may trade more (or less) than others here. But your chances of picking a stock and being right are the same as any of ours: 50/50.

Best of luck to you.

Agreed, I'm back to within 11% of my high. I think I'll take some profits and dump Delta and Norwegian. Keeping my RDS.

Nobody is a Pro, and if they think they are, they will get their head handed to them. I am not a Pro for sure. But I managed money for Institutions and Retail investors for 38yrs. I will never recommend individual stocks. Too many different individual objectives. But, I will try to help for those that are open to experience.
Be positive-be patient-and above all else, avoid Fear and Greed.

Would never do that! My job was to give clients the best information that I could. I'm sure you are smart and good info should help you make good decision.

Well, there are people like Jim Simons, Stan Druckenmiller and a host of other (smaller) pros who are very successful and consistently profitable, but I'm saying, don't come on here and assume that any of us (anonymous) posters are anywhere near that class. I fully agree with your points here. But because a lot of the people coming on this board over the past few weeks are looking for "hot tips", "fast money" and just want to "get in the game"... I'm making the point that an anonymous message board is just a good way to get your fingers burned, learn horrible lessons and develop bad investing habits.

And worst of all, if these folks make a little money from hot tips now, those (lucky duck) bad lessons will not serve them well going forward.

There's a reason that people like Jim Cramer and his ""game show" approach to investing are so popular, even though a monkey dressed up in human clothes bested him in a stock picking contest: he's entertaining, he's fun, he's got lights, bells and whistles. For those who don't really care to gain knowledge and learn, and are more buy & hope investors, rather than buy & hold, that's good enough.

Hats off to you for wanting to help them.

Stocks are still well below their 52 week high.

If you wait for the next dip you might miss the current opportunity. As long as you're buying low and the financials of the company are good, you're still getting a deal. Only risk is the company not surviving which is why you look at the financials.

I bought some CCL this morning before leaving for work. Got a notification on my phone that it went through.
