We are talking to each other over electronic devices containing gold in the contact points and you're asking me how are lives would be different today without it.
Gold is dense, but you are denser.

Gold impacts everyone’s life in ways they don’t even know and bitcoin has zero impact on anyone’s life for those involved in legitimate business

No Bitcoin only worked as low volume peer to peer currency just read the original white paper.
At a max 7 transactions per second it never had a chance. It is slow and basically 20 year old technology now. But since third party tiny banks in foreign countries control the price at this point, it can move it any direction they want it to

I don’t think anyone that invests in bitcoin cares that it is useless. They only care about how much money they can make off of it.
I wish I would have jumped in way back when, but I never understood its existence and still don’t, but still wish I would have thrown a few grand at it.

I am conservative and would love for bitcoin to be widely accepted as a currency but the fact is as we sit here today- it is not.
Also, when it comes to currency, I’m practical enough to know that a government loves its own currency. They have all sorts of fancy notes drawn up, and they have central banks to control it. It’s a big friggin deal.
So if bitcoin becomes a threat to the usage of the USD, I firmly believe that the US will crush it.
And bitcoin isn’t preserving or protecting freedom.
Moreso, It’s an integral part in tearing down the fabric of society as a favored currency of drug dealers, sex trafficers and international arms dealers.

Bitcoin topics always devolve into Gold discussion it seems.
It seems like just yesterday when the justification for BTC was it’s like gold and it’s purpose was to act as a hedge against the dollar.

I think it's wild it's not out in the open for who started it.

BTC remains the only example where a dated technology continues to increase in value as it ages.

It’s got a stigma as a favored currency for illicitly activity from underground stolen goods to child sex trafficking and even arms dealing including nuclear weapons. No clue if any of that is true.
I know for certain that it’s been used for illegal activity on some local crimes.

Gold, with its timeless allure and high liquidity, has become a magnet for financial crime. Its unique characteristics, such as anonymity and rapid turnover, make it an ideal vehicle for money laundering.
The gold market's vulnerabilities, coupled with its global demand, further enhance its attractiveness to criminals. Its high value, rapid turnover, and the ease in conducting gold transactions makes it an attractive proposition for criminals aiming to launder money.
It’s the inconsistencies within the gold sector that lend themselves to exploitation. Inconsistent trade patterns and regulatory loopholes can veil illicit funds, making the detection of such activities significantly challenging, thus contributing to the risk of money laundering through gold.
The Role of the Gold Market in Money Laundering
The gold market plays a pivotal role in money laundering, serving as an excellent vehicle for illicit funds due to its rapid turnover and global demand. These attributes, coupled with relatively lax regulation in certain regions, make it easier to manipulate. Gold transactions often lack the level of scrutiny found in more traditional financial systems, providing a convenient platform for criminals to exploit.
