I listened to the Global Lithium Podcast with Jesse Edmundson from SLI so y’all don’t have to. Some nuggets were the following:
Jesse explained the pivot away from the Lanxess project was due to the delay in setting the royalty rate and Equinor wanting a larger scale.
Federal/State/Local government are all on board with making Arkansas a hub for lithium innovation. They are actively working on getting companies downstream from lithium production to come to Arkansas.

Been reading up on Chevron's entry into Southwest Arkansas' lithium rush.
As far as I could find, they do not have an existing DLE method nor have I been able to find any info on their interest into lithium until the land acquisition in Arkansas.
Are their any rumors of a technology partnership between Chevron and any DLE company? Is there a non zero chance there are talks between them and SLI?

Joe Lowry said Lithium prices have bottomed and we’re at the beginning of a bull cycle for lithium, but not to expect a straight shot up in lithium price.

Yeah after running several days in a row, there's been a pullback in lithium prices the last 2-3 days, so that + Powell declining to forecast more rate cuts is what combined to take us down IMO. But maybe we needed this pullback to complete that cup and handle formation

Some kind of pre-feasibility study released today.
LINK - Fast Edgar
After glossing over it, it appears to be the data behind all their press releases. I think this is just hard data backing up previous claims.
If you were an ascriber to the argument of authority, this isnt new because you believed Koch and Equinor wouldnt have backed SLI without due diligence on their part.
This report could have a big long term impact if institutions were waiting on the release to drop cash into it.

I'm not sure why this was updated recently, but I'm pretty sure this is the PFS for SWA that has been out since 2023.
Could be an engineering signature thing, needs to be 're-upped' every couple years to stay valid?
I know the next report expected is the DFS, and was supposed to be updated to a new, higher output than the PFS. Maybe the PFS production numbers got updated as well? Not sure what the 'original' numbers were if it is updated, so can't tell if it's changed.

Ohh, I see why we're dropping.
Was looking for changes to the PFS and instead found that they filed a base shelf prospectus yesterday to sell up to $1B (with a B) of stock.
We knew they would have to raise at least some equity for SWA construction but hopefully this giant offering doesn't mean their debt financing/offtakes ran into issues.
But also, iirc Equinor's cost carry should be almost finished so SLI will need some of this money for operations through construction (til they make some money).

Also, I don't see any changes between the NPVs given in the initial SWA PFS vs the "updated" PFS

Is this basically dilution by offering to expand the amount of authorized shares?

I see this as nothing but a good sign/buying opportunity.
All this says is they are moving forward.
Offtake agreements don’t mean up front cash, they mean guaranteed cash flow.
A new shelf is always at least double what you need.
$5B post tax NPV on the low end of the FEED I bet. 4 year payback. $1B is good.

No I agree with you as a sign of progress and movement. I just shudder at 200% dilution (worse case scenario).
I will say if they can swing convertible securities with out of money conversion I would love that. lol.

We're gonna get to production, but our stock price will be basically flat all the way through....
This is my last pre revenue play. You may quote me and flog me with it in the future if necessary.

Had a chance a couple years ago to really take off until the royalty kept messing it up. Always knew they would raise capital for construction, but it does hurt to dilute possibly 2-1 just to get off the ground. I still think it will be a top producer of lithium in a 5-7 years, but investors may have wait way longer for profits than I expected. Just holding my shares, but won’t invest more unless we get a major dip from here(which I hope we don’t).

The bad thing is we all could have traded the shite out of this! Maybe some did good for you! I was always scared to so I have held this whole time and missed out on money and more shares by just holding!
