I need to free up some powder for the upcoming dippity dip dips when it bonks its head on the $2.50 false ceiling.

This thing is going up quicker than I expected. Its due for a little pull back and sideways training. I won't complain if we get into another FOMO situation as I need to remodel a bathroom at my house soon.

Man it's so hard to time it.
I'd give it a week or two just because we are so close to breaking $2 which is huge technical resistance. If it breaks that, it could have a technical run up to ~$2.50-$2.60 with no news over the course of a week.

Everyone just act cool and be like you’ve been here before! You might scare it otherwise!

Recent news on EnergyX highlights its strategic moves in the lithium industry:
• Acquisition in Smackover Formation:
EnergyX, backed by General Motors, acquired 35,000 acres in the lithium-rich Smackover Formation in Arkansas from Pantera Lithium for A$40 million (approximately $26.1 million). The deal includes A$6 million in cash and A$34 million in EnergyX stock. This expands EnergyX’s holdings to nearly 50,000 acres, including its existing 12,500 acres in Texas, positioning it as a key player in U.S. lithium production. The company aims to produce 50,000 tons of lithium hydroxide annually by 2030, with a first phase of 12,500 tons by 2028.
• Project Lonestar and Lithium Refinery:
EnergyX plans to build a lithium “mega refinery” on 330 acres at TexAmericas Center in Bowie County, Texas, near the Red River Army Depot. This is part of its Project Lonestar™, which focuses on sustainable lithium extraction using its proprietary LiTAS (Lithium-ion Transport and Separation) technology.
• Strategic Partnerships and Funding:
EnergyX has secured investments from General Motors, POSCO, Eni Next, and a U.S. Department of Energy grant. It’s also working with Worley for engineering services. Previously, in 2022, EnergyX raised $450 million from Global Emerging Markets Group to support its IPO plans by 2024 and expansion in Bolivia.
quote:
EnergyX has not announced a specific date for an initial public offering (IPO), and any predictions about whether or when it will go public remain speculative. The company is currently private, with no shares traded on public exchanges like the NYSE or Nasdaq.
However, there are indications of potential IPO plans:
• In 2022, EnergyX secured a $450 million investment from Global Emerging Markets Group, tied to a 36-month period post-IPO, suggesting an IPO was considered by 2024 or shortly after.
• Courtney Sparling, EnergyX’s marketing director, stated in a forum that there is “no set date for a future, potential IPO,” but the company would share updates with investors.
• CEO Teague Egan indicated in 2024 that an IPO is not imminent, as the company plans at least one more major institutional funding round (Series C) and aims to achieve positive EBITDA before going public. He also mentioned alternative exit strategies, such as acquisitions or paying dividends if the company generates significant revenue.

This jump is coming at a very high volume, probably over 3x normal by the end of day. It makes me hope the locals/insiders are hearing some big news coming…

I'm curious if we have patent infringement issues with all these companies that have their own "state-of-the-art" DLE technology.

Nothing that I've heard. Local excitement has picked up. Even from some wealthier folks that had been shitting on it. Several have told me now was the time to get in. I just thanked them for the heads up.

I did demonstratives, tutorials and simulations for a lot of patent cases back in the day. Worked for one patent lawyer who always won. He had a great sense of humor and judges and juries naturally liked him.
Between Koch and SLI's patents, there could easily be a case or two in the future.

EnergyX’s LiTAS™ is a multi-faceted platform combining adsorption, solvent extraction, and selective membrane technologies, with a focus on proprietary ion-exchange membranes and electrodialysis. Standard Lithium’s LiSTR technology is more focused on adsorption-based DLE, though they’ve partnered with other tech providers for alternative DLE methods. LiTAS™ emphasizes modularity and scalability across various brine types, while LiSTR is tailored to the Smackover’s specific brine chemistry.

Been a bunch of them try. Abermarle has failed and failed again. Only SLI has ever done shite. The others exist only in concept.

I don’t care if it works as long as it gets to $35
