When and really if.. it goes nuts.

I'd like to see EV's crack into the resto-mod market. I've got a '00 4runner at the farm that would be great converted. Between that and my thermal the pigs wouldn't have a chance.

Interesting...

Telescope Innovations and Standard Lithium Demonstrate Low-Temperature, High-Purity Production of Lithium Sulfide for Solid-State Batteries

quote:

- Telescope Innovations Corp. (CSE: TELI) (OTCQB: TELIF) ("Telescope Innovations" or the "Company"), a leading developer of advanced technologies and services for the global pharmaceutical and chemical industries, announces the successful outcome of a research collaboration with Standard Lithium Ltd. (TSXV: SLI) (NYSE American: SLI) ("Standard Lithium").

Over the past year, Telescope Innovations and Standard Lithium have worked together to develop a new method for producing high-purity lithium sulfide, a key material needed for the next generation of solid-state batteries ("SSBs"). These advanced batteries are expected to power future electric vehicles ("EVs") and other high-tech devices, offering greater efficiency and safety compared to today's lithium-ion batteries.

quote:

"Our work in the Smackover Formation remains our primary focus, driving the development of sustainable lithium production. However, as part of our mission to stay at the forefront of industry advancements, we are also positioning ourselves to meet the demands of next generation battery technologies. This collaboration is a continuation of our long-standing commitment to innovation in lithium technology," said Dr. Andy Robinson, President and COO of Standard Lithium. "This project with Telescope Innovations is an important part of that strategy. By working with the brightest minds in the industry and leveraging these learnings, we are not only advancing our technological capabilities but also enhancing our ability to attract strategic partnerships-just as we have successfully done in the past. This approach continues to create value for our shareholders and ensures we are well-prepared for the future of solid-state battery chemistry."

Wonder how much the lower temp recovery saves in actual operating costs?

Admittedly, I don't have the best reading comprehension, but I'm a little confused about what this update is. They announced this breakthrough last December. Maybe they have tested it at larger scale now?

The price action has been improving at least. Needs to break out of this range though.

the financial drive by's have been hawking it lately. I think their goal is to run it to the royalty, then dump it. I've been nibbling below 1.20 and now have a an oversize swing position that I can put the stops on for the R/D.

Looks like three stars align here. Royalty settlement, a patent for a potential solid state future, and after the royalty they can actually sell whatever product the demo plant can produce.

I'm cautiously optimistic. Things seem to be moving along. The O&G commission is well aware of the shitstorm that will ensue if they set royalties too high. Getting this going could be huge for the state and the area.

There should be a lot of good news coming out in the next few months.

Just a little dry humping. The royalties issue was going to be finished by end of July then the non-profit group that "protects" landowners stepped in. Having Exxon, Albermarle, Equinor, Tetra, SLI and others all on the same page will help. Also, many of the largest landholders are large SLI holders. They would rather the company do well than get some piss ant royalty check.

I'm afraid to comment on how well it's holding yesterday's gains.

Toying with the idea of buying back in here, but curious to see some OG opinions on the following:

1) new CEO- is he a legit talent to get this to commercial production?
2) Exxon entry- are they just going to swallow up this whole thing? How do Exxon's 120K leased acres compare to SLI's? How did they get their hands on DLE tech?
3) Lanxess- seems like the Phase 1a is pretty much an afterthought and now the focus is really on the East Texas and SW Arkansas JV's? Always thought Lanxess was a drag, not a help so would be good to have them completely out of the decision making.
4) In a world where lithium prices hadn't cratered, would SLI be in about the same spot? It seems like they are always "2-3 years" away from production and nothing changes that.
5) What's a realistic estimate for a valuation someone would place on buying out SLI's leased acreage? Seems like if SLI can't get it together, then this is a reasonable exit strategy.
6) Royalty rates- what is the latest estimate on when this meeting will be held to settle this?

Thanks!
