U.S. President Joe Biden will rely on ally countries to supply the bulk of the metals needed to build electric vehicles and focus on processing them domestically into battery parts, part of a strategy designed to placate environmentalists, two administration officials with direct knowledge told Reuters.

More driver for stlhf technology
It’s funny though, we care about environment here but not in other countries

In typical stock market fashion, good news means the price drops for some reason.

I only read the “summary” of that news, but saying that we’re going to rely on other countries to supply the metal (lithium) does not sound like implication of good news for a domestic metal producer (STLHF)

quote:Correct. Biden steps on his own dick so often he doesnt even know it. To placate the environmentalists we just put it out of sight in countries that will absolutely rape the earth.

If anything this news might be good for STLHF as they might be better positioned to be one of the only domestic lithium producers of scale as they don’t require any new “mining” or permits to take lithium from the brine water that’s already pumped out of the aquifer for the bromine.

It was not a good sign when Stlhf hired that former US state dept official.
It told me that Stlhf was having issues from the Biden admin and by putting an insider political guy on the board they hoped they could persuade the evil dictator to back off . It was a nice try but it apparently didn’t work.
I hope I am wrong. If stlhf dips I might get back in but politics is screwing this deal it looks like.

True, I was thinking since they were a canadian company it might help since they called out canada, but I guess it doesnt help that their mine is in arkansas. Although, they do already have that permit.

Right now there is no clean alternative.
Once the clean alternative is known, govt entities can make a push for that technology.
Not sure how Biden can control where companies buy lithium and stlhf doesn’t need mining permits for their technologies.
I view this as a ho hum at worst and a big win if stlhf is the main producer for American based lithium in 2 years

Agreed. Does STLHF need any more permits to proceed? No. Do most other American miners including big boys trying to catch up need permits to proceed? Yes. STLHF’s moat got wider with this news, if it’s legit news.

This.

I think there will be some permits required for the Tetra leases, but if I’m not mistaken those are at the state not federal level, and Arkansas should be a red state for a long time so we’re good there.

So far, Biden & Co. have been batting 100 in the screw up department. They seem to have a sweet tooth for foreign dependencies, but I don't think it will hurt STLHF other than cheap labor produced lithium maybe shaving the base price Walmart style.

Holy smokes! Our favorite thread dropped to page 3!!
I received an email this morning from Lake Resources investor relations. Their managing director, Steve Promnitz, is doing a presentation today at 4:00 central time. I doubt I'll watch it, but they included the link to his slide presentation.
Lake Resources presentation
It's easy to skim through. Looks like they're still just behind Standard Lithium's time schedule.
Hopefully this is another shot across the bow that may be noticed by whomever is the holdup on our investments.

Stock is just dragging. I love the potential, but there’s better places to make money right now. This thing is just stagnant.

Yep holding pattern until the JV PR comes out. Not thinking of selling but man they gotta understand investors will get nervous if we get to late June and no news.
FWIW- I expect they will be able to get the SIFT machine down from Canada in June, hoping there could be a PR about that soon.

Fingers crossed. Lots of money to be made all over the place, so if they want to keep investors bought in, they need to get a little bit of momentum back behind this thing.
