Looking like this will hit the 2's with the worst month for the stock market approaching. Unless they do something to stop the bleeding.

Any September conferences that can be announced?

There was an fb post that Mintak will be speaking at an aerospace and defense summit late next week. Aug 23-24 in Rogers, Ark.

We trying to make lithium powered rocket ships and aircraft carriers now?
A guy on another board claimed that SLI listed Q3/Q4 for the DFS on the recent shelf prospectus filing. I checked it out and it seems ambiguous to me:
""Completion of a DFS and FEED study in respect of the LANXESS 1A Project; $2,500,000 (Q3/4 2023)"
Like they're saying the DFS and FEED studies are both expected in Q3/4 or the DFS is expected in Q3 and FEED expected in Q4.
Google says FEED usually comes first.
Emailed Investor Relations and will provide response if it comes.

I'm glad I took profits last week. Everything is bleeding red this week.

Investor Relations responded today.
Question: For the Lanxess 1A project, is the FEED study expected to be completed before or after the Definitive Feasibility Study?
Answer: Basically, the FEED provides input into the DFS, which will be summarized in the NI 43-101 report. The FEED is ultimately finalized after that. Below is an excerpt from the September 7, 2022 press release re. the project. (As you are aware, the expected completion time of the DFS was more recently shifted into Q3 2023.)
"…The FEED study will initially consider various process optimization and trade-off studies, after which the design of the facility will be advanced sufficiently to support the delivery of a Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) and final investment decision (FID) process. At conclusion of the study it is expected the design will be sufficiently developed to allow conversion of the FEED study into a lump-sum engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract. The results of the FEED study will be summarized in a NI 43-101 DFS report in H1 2023."
Be happy to talk next week if you wish to give a call.
Sending another message to directly ask if the shelf offering estimate is a departure from the most recent PR estimates on DFS completion.

It was nice to see the Chairman of the Committee on Natural Resources Representative Bruce Westerman include Standard Lithium in his responses and talk about how SLI is ahead of the curve with their pilot plant. It would be easy to let Exxon suck all of the air out of the discussions, so I was glad Standard Lithium was mentioned in such a positive way.

Is there any way to find out if he owns any?

Sent an email to IR this morning.
They got back with me and I've got a call scheduled for tomorrow morning. Going to cover the DFS in whatever depth we can with non-material info. Probably won't get too much there seeing as DFS is pending. Going to discuss the DLE tech choice and implications. Going to discuss Lanxess project capital plans (hopefully) - I'll prod about Lanxess funds, SLI doing a capital raise/offering (speaking of which I need to go check out the shelf offering in more detail) and the potential for fed grants.
Not sure how much time I'll get for open forum Q&A but let me know if you all have any questions/interests and I'll try to fit in whatever I can.

Doing the lord's work, Mike. Appreciate you.

Thanks Mike, looking forward to your synopsis.
I have a general question for yall. Does a typical Investor Relations firm have more information than the public does? I mean, they aren't considered insiders are they?
Eta I am enjoying this ad on Magnolia Reporter's site

I was joking before but Mintak actually will be connecting SLI to aerospace on Thursday.
On the one hand, is it just pure audacity to do a presentation across the room from a 6,000 pound lateDFS elephant, or is this better than not seeing anything from the company during a delay such as this?

he seems like the wrong guy for the job. hate to say it and hope im wrong. but leadership matters

Well it certainly puts him in the spotlight to start answering questions either way.

Feel like we will never get to the moon, now…

That's uh.....that's certainly interesting.
Unrelated, my phone call got pushed. Chatting with them tomorrow now - hopefully. Guess I can add a question about what market they are looking at re: lithium in aerospace. Not sure if that is like....actual energy storage...or lithium alloys for lightweight applications or something else.
