Standard Lithium Ltd. (SLL.V), a technology and lithium project development company, was at last look up another 9%, adding to the 4% gained last Friday, after reporting Monday the conversion of lithium chloride produced from its LiSTR direct lithium extraction plant in Arkansas into 99.985% pure lithium carbonate using OEM technology.
Veolia Water Technologies completed the conversion at its facility in Plainfield, Illinois.
As part of a process to derisk its Arkansas lithium project, Standard Lithium also used its own patent-pending SiFT technology to convert the lithium chloride solution into a battery-quality material.
Following the successful conversion, the company said it has demonstrated two separate crystallization flowsheets that can take lithium chloride produced from the Smackover formation brine and convert it into high purity battery-quality lithium carbonate.
Standard Lithium said it continues to optimize its flowsheet, with a view to expand product offerings from the Smackover resource. The company has started work to assess the feasibility of directly converting lithium chloride from the plant into battery-quality lithium hydroxide.

The Company has now successfully demonstrated two separate crystallisation flowsheets that can take lithium chloride produced from the Smackover Formation brine and convert it into high purity battery-quality lithium carbonate.
As the Company continues to move towards commercialisation, successful demonstration of alternative technologies in key areas of the flowsheet allows it to reduce project execution risk and offers greater flexibility regarding the final flowsheet that will be deployed at commercial scale.
So it sounds like they used their patented SiFT technology and conventional technology and they both produced battery-quality lithium carbonate. I am curious what the process times are

Bout 6 hours from brine to finished product. Initial projection was 72 hours.

Was planned for 25 with existing leases.

So when will we be saying hey to the mars rover?

That is... very impressive. With that and the press release about purity from this morning almost have to wonder when do we take off again.

Get the hats and T-shirts ready... This thing’s got legs now.

I'd really like to have this one take off. My largest holding by value at this point and have it in my ROTH, HSA, and a brokerage account somehow...

If this thing actually takes off, you should probably reconsider your risk factor going forward.

Its relative - My Roth is pretty small - haven't done backdoor conversions in several years and have a larger traditional IRA. I use the ROTH and HSA for trading and use the Traditional for VOO, QQQ, boring plays.
Oh and "I like the stock."

My largest holding as well and I need 4700 more shares to reach my goal.
1B market cap isnt unreasonable and puts us close to 10 dollars per share

Wake me up when it hits $20

Nah.... if it takes off that means we were right! And if it does take off I really don't see it dipping hard after liftoff. I might sell some at $15 or $20 to get some money off the table, but intend on holding 80%+ of my shares probably at least 3-5 years. Once this gets uplisted and goes commercial we are looking at a very different company and investor base.

I'd love to see them enter the JV officially with a 40% stake, not the 30% stake. We'll see. They had a post-tax NPV of ~$1B from their projections in one of the powerpoints from last year, but I think that's a very conservative set of assumptions they used.
