If it makes you feel any better, I was in the same spot you are around 6 months ago. And watching videos and asking questions here helped me understand a lot better. That said, I think I'm largely down overall on options because it's so damn hard to be good.

I just applied to open an options account on Fidelity. They asked about my options trading history and my risk tolerance. When I had it set to the most conservative setting it had my SEVERELY limited in what would be available to me. When I slid the little bar to the more aggressive settings it opened me up to do lots of shite

I was up about 30% on options and swing trading. BA options treated me well. I'm up over 300% on SLI.
