Poor Mintak isnt even growing the company, just answering TD.com T-shirt and hat emails now.
I almost want to email him and be like, send me 100 tshirts and hats and I'll take care of this for you. Just focus on SLI

Agree 100%. If you could coordinate that that’d be great.

I finished green today so I’m not even complaining
Would be nice to go back to 8 tho

SLI being the only red on the board is an unfortunate change of pace.
ETA: Only being up 122% overall sucks too. Where is my hat?

When you send your address to mintak do you think he looks up your house

I've emailed investor relations twice. Once to just say thank you for potentially putting Arkansas on the map. The second time I was fishing for a hat and shirt to proudly wear in my area.
No response either time.

PR just came out for $250M shelf offering, any time over next 25 months. Might cause a dip short term...
Mintak states in PR that they are well funded for upcoming milestones and have no immediate plans to raise capital.

I won't let you get me a second time with that trick...

Must be the PEA on Tetra site.

I really thought they were done raising capital. This would explain the drop this week if those in the know were selling. 250 million is roughly 30% of the current market cap which is a pretty large amount.

Just got an email from SLI regarding something that's way over my head. Who can dissect this?
Base Shelf Prospectus?

Applying for ability to create more shares. Generally diluting shares and lowering stock price.
I'm curious if they are doing what we all want them to do, move faster!
I never really liked the whole "wait on lanxness profits to fund tetra approach" EV market and lithium demand is moving too fast. If they have the goods at tetra, they need to get to production faster and capture the market.

300 pages in and I'm about to get my T-shirt hopefully!

It dipped a little last time, but never really got close to the share offering price. This offering could be good for the company if their plan is just to move faster than they have been. I remember the CEO saying he didn’t think they would have to raise any more capital though which is the only reason I’m thinking they may be switching strategies a little.
Edit- I remember people selling hoping to buy in a the share offering price. It never got there and they ended up buying back higher than they sold.

I would say this means no JV anymore. Can we finally put a nail in that coffin?
Posted on 8/20/21 at 6:41 pm to Krayfish11
The jv is happening regardless. It has to for not only SLI, but it’s free money for Lanxess. This means, they will advance other projects faster outside of the Lanxess site in Smackover
Posted on 8/20/21 at 6:51 pm to Krayfish11
No idea how you reached that conclusion....
Posted on 8/20/21 at 6:54 pm to GeneralLee
So, is this good or bad for shareholders? Lol.
Posted on 8/20/21 at 7:01 pm to KCRoyalBlue
It could be interpreted good or bad.
Bear would interpret it as JV wavering and they need the cash option to move forward at all
Bull would say JV gets signed and company wants to move faster on their own with no additional JVs, they now have the funding to do so and the understanding of how to build out a commercial plant more efficiently after letting lanxness absorb the costs of learning how to build the initial commercial buildout.
Bear case doesnt make a lot of sense considering there has been zero indication by either party that the technology is not as advertised and lanxness is wavering. I think SLI is tired of their bullshite because they know they are slowly losing the advantage of first to market.
