how the hell is using a centralized custodian that takes control of your keys and has the ability to restrict what you do with your property being "unbanked"

being "unbanked" is having a hardware wallet and utilizing self-custody. What a stupid advertisement.

The biggest bitcoin advocates are against exchanges, too. Celsius is essentially operating as a bank, so you are correct when it comes to regulation. However, bitcoin owners should operate as their own bank to fully enjoy the value of bitcoin. As with anything, investor behavior is a huge factor in financial success.

Celsius is the complete opposite of what crypto was designed for.

Crypto's entire purpose is to remove middle men like Celsius.

Not your keys, not your coins.

That's a very broad stroke.

Explain how Ethereum is a scam.

A lot of the people use use crypto don't want bank regulation. They're fine with the risk/reward ratio in an unregulated market. If you want a safe place to keep funds, you trade off for lower interest and go with a traditional bank that pays almost nothing. If you want a risky place to keep money that pays high interest, use crypto. Your choice.

You clearly don’t understand what crypto was created for.

I have some USDC stuck and am already writing it off in my head ... fortunately I started withdrawing within the past couple weeks but didn't do all of it

so F em, I hope Nexo pulls off the buyout
