I'm honestly about to move heavy into crypto outside of my 401K and Roth

Since those already make up the overwhelming majority of my investments I have no problem with my "play money" investments going to about 50/50 crypto and individual stocks

seems like that will be a popular approach

I think in ~20 years we will look back at this opportunity of investing into an emerging asset class and realize how lucky we were

Crypto winter eh?

Is that how BTC went from 13k in November to 33k by Feb?

LINK went from 11.59 in November to 22.88 in Feb?
ALGO went from 0.25 to 0.62 during that time span....

I want to know about this Crypto winter

I'm looking back and kicking myself for not having the patience to hold long several years ago

Cashed out my roths for crypto. Only my 401k left I am debating on. About 67/33 now stock/crypto.

Basically there’s an inflection point in the halving cycle where BTC price plateaus or drop a lot until the next halving cycle (referred to as crypto winter). So, if history is any guide based on the past few halving cycles, the peak BTC price for this halving cycle is likely this summer or fall. But all the institutional adoption this cycle may make things a lot different, hopefully mitigating a lot of the potential downside volatility this cycle.

This is a really stupid question, but what is the best app to buy crypto like etherium?

I've had to buy back in at higher prices 3 times since last summer trying to juggle knives.

I think 5-10%ish is a good ballpark. All my crypto investment is in Galaxy Digital (BRPHF) stock. They are on track to basically be the Goldman Sachs of crypto. Huge growth yet to come on the institutional adoption side and Galaxy is well positioned to capture a lot of that. With uplisting later this year, I think it’s an easy 3-4 bagger even from today’s prices.

I’ve made a shite ton of money on Galaxy. I’m a buyer every time it pulls back. COIN stole a little bit of its thunder last week, and I was there buying it up on the cheap! Novagratz knows what he’s doing..

Yeah I bought at 22, sold at 36 then bought back at 24 all in a week or so, haha. The spreads are crazy too, you could just sit there and flip it for 50 cents to a dollar scalps every day easy. But I’m probably gonna hodl onto most now and just flip 20-30% to try to reduce my cost basis even further.

Stay away from Robinhood. You can't withdraw your crypto from them. Not your keys, not your crypto.

Robinhood also is shady with all the GME stuff.

you also don’t own the actual coin on Robinhood. You can’t move your coins anywhere. You own a paper version of the coin- avoid that.

Where do you buy Glalaxy or Stage 5? I don’t see it on BRD, Coinbase or Vogager.
