Reason Id like the Gold too... I love the 50% bonus on CSR though. Saves so much money on a big trip.

Your ignorance is showing in regards to the churning specialists. Not everyone is a lazy frick like you to not appreciate Amex's triple dip, airline credits, uber (eats) , saks, Centurion Lounges, food credit, etc. Sure, it may take an extra step or two compared to CSR to get the travel credits, but to call it shite is idiotic and lazy.

After the $300 credit and 1.5 portal, CSR and UR has nothing else going for it (Hyatt transfer is good). Once they nix Korean Air transfer in which I was able to get round trip to Hawaii for 25K Korean skypass pts, they have poor cpp compared to Amex MR.

Any chance the Southwest card bonus goes up from 40k in the next few weeks? I got the Southwest business card and will hit the spending limit for the 60k in January. Should I go ahead and get the personal now at 40k or wait to see if it goes to 50k next year?

I'd just do the 40k. With the two minimum spends, you'll only need one good round trip to have companion.

I did the 60/50 early last year, but you have to weigh the benefit of the companion pass and if you can use it prior to holding out for the additional 10k points.

Sounds like your pussy is hurt I’ve seen sports fans act like a bitch but to see someone cry about his fav cc is one of the most pathetic things I’ve seen in my life. I got the AMEX recently so I’m not against it at all.

Like I told the other moron, learn to read. I didn’t say AMEX was shite I was talking about a specific thing in that the travel credit is way easier on CSR vs AMEX.

This is one of the weirdest melts I’ve ever seen

Sounds like you need to learn to read your own shite and not crawfish. It's been pointed out that the travel credit on Amex is not shite just bc you're a lazy frick.

I have no issue calling you out on your incompetence here. Getting your first MR card and talking shite and giving advice on here is laughable.

Yeah, I got my CSR right after they changed it too. But AMEX travel credit is shite compared to CSR so it's a trade off. I'm keeping my CSR unless I really decide MR are better for me and I go AMEX Plat. I would probably get the CSP at that point instead. But I think UR are great for me so far.

There’s my full post right there from weeks ago you stupid frick. Travel credit is shite compared to CSR. I stick to that even though your whiney arse can’t take it for some reason. You pay a higher fee for the Plat than the CSR, get a lesser travel credit in actual dollars, and can’t use it for all travel like CSR. As it is you have to register it for AMEX and can only use it easily on a few airlines and you have to choose 1 airline for the year. CSR gives you the $300 on anything that codes as travel. Are you really arguing how much better and easy it is?

Like I said, travel credit is shite compared to CSR. Arguing it makes you look like a total moron. You’re not calling anything out other than attention to you not having a clue of what you’re doing.

ETA: in case you’re still unclear TPG go to #5 talking about the credits. Or Award Wallet scroll down a little. Unless you think The Points Guy and Award Wallet are “incompetent”? Or another link LINK. I could keep going but no need, you’ll move the goal posts. Again, I like AMEX, just think the travel credit could be much better and easier to use. Sorry that put sand in your vagina.

Look regit, even Teddy replied to you back then to explain the same thing. Nobody is crawfishing, you are either being obtuse or trolling. Still really weird to see someone defend AMEX so hard though, they’re gonna be fine

Going into year 2 of Amex platinum. Feels like make or break year. I got my value this year with global entry reimbursement.

I am going to drop Marriott and United card. I figure avoid fee maybe re up for points later.

I may get the Plat but testing the Gold with MR first. I think the Plat is great for some people especially if you can make use of the Uber, Saks, etc credits. Since I won’t use the Centurion lounges much that’s another reason I’m not sure on it yet. I’d love to try them out though. I did my GE a couple years ago and got the $100 credit on my Prestige when I had it. United I’d drop unless you fly them a lot. Marriott could be a keeper for the free night unless you don’t use it?

Two can play at that game dumbass. I've never seen someone go out of there way to call something shite just b/c it's not as simple as CSR. For the record, I've own CSR since the leak link of the 100k UR and don't plan on getting rid of it.

Teddy seems like a good guy and not a douche like you. Maybe I was not initially clear hence his reply. I once also listened to the narrow minded regurgitators as yourself and thought the Amex travel credit was shite compared to CSR. That kept me from getting any Amex cards until I kept asking myself... how the frick are people consistently going to SE Asia, Maldives, RTW, etc on J/F. Then diversified into MR and TYPs and realized that if you do any decent traveling, the entire Amex ecosystem and travel credits are fine even without needing the travel GC purchases.

Now I realize if I kept listing to the provincial folks who only understanding of the pts and churning game is what they see and hear superficially from ignorant idiots like you, I would have missed out on so much.

Also, TPG is a joke to churners bc of his bias to the cards with the biggest referrals at the time. He obviously has made a name for himself and has some good info once you recognize the steering, but don't be a sheep.

speaking of crawfishing. Move dem goal posts, brah.

I made one post about the comparison of the travel credit between CSR and AMEX. I haven’t posted anything negative of AMEX before, dumbass. And once again you’re going away from what I originally said; I didn’t diss your little baby AMEX for the travel opportunities. They have a great ecosystem. I simply said the AMEX $200 credit compared to the CSR $300 credit is shite. Not that it’s shite alone. I honestly can’t believe I have to type this out for you again but I’m trying to help your pussy from bleeding anymore. In other words on its own merit it’s fine, but when you compare the two, CSR wins that travel credit easily. Everyone agrees with that and if you have the card as you say there’s no way you disagree. It’s more money and easier to use for a cheaper AF. Good Lord, man.

I didn’t tell anyone not to get the AMEX or try to discourage anyone. I said this about the travel credit in my post about getting the AMEX . I mean, you have to be half brain dead. There’s nothing wrong with getting both and that’s what I did. AMEX has better perks on some things over CSR. Too bad you can’t fricking read because we would’ve avoided this ridulous back and forth as I’m an AMEX fan. Obviously not as much as you though.. And yes, you’re definitely who people should listen to over places like TPG, AW, Forbes, MMS, etc etc and a whole bunch of other articles saying the same thing I did. Can you leave it alone yet or are you going to change the story again?

Trying to get this thread back on track, I’ve been seeing some good ways to use miles like Singapore on United or Virgin on Delta. Has anyone done these? Other good ones?

In reply to the SW CC question, there are 50K signups at the airport if you're able to sign up on a trip. Also there's this link which sounds like it may work for some people if you're not going to be in an airport soon.

I use Marriott and United a lot but got United Gold so basically no need for card benefits. Plus I always have to pay with corporate card.

I want to get sign on benefit again.

Platinum AMEX was good for $200 to go economy plus but now that I don't need it I guess I will burn on first class upgrade

Has anyone had their AMEX account "under review?" I transferred 125K to my fiancee (authorized user) ANA account, which went through, but when I went to transfer mine I get the error "This action will not be completed because of an attempt to sell or otherwise transfer Membership Reward points to someone else which is not permitted under the terms and conditions of the program." I call customer service who essentially says it's an automatic review and could take 6-8 weeks to complete. No one can tell me any more information, "it's at corporate" and they don't have contact info for them. I can't seem to find much about it online either. My flight availability will almost definitely be gone by then. Any ideas?

You must not know what crawfish means. Do I have to spell that out for you too? Change story? You're a bigger Dumbass that I originally thought.

Obviously we're not on the same churning level so I'm not sure why I even waste my time with you, but If I can save one person here from your ignorant shite posting I'm content.

You pussy, STFU.

I've posted plenty on this thread and helped many people. Go cradle your AMEX in your arms and tell her it's going to be alright. You've been shown your arse over and over and all you've done is muddy the thread up, go away.
