United I’d drop unless you fly them a lot. Marriott could be a keeper for the free night unless you don’t use it?

I use Marriott and United a lot but got United Gold so basically no need for card benefits. Plus I always have to pay with corporate card.

I want to get sign on benefit again.

Platinum AMEX was good for $200 to go economy plus but now that I don't need it I guess I will burn on first class upgrade

Has anyone had their AMEX account "under review?" I transferred 125K to my fiancee (authorized user) ANA account, which went through, but when I went to transfer mine I get the error "This action will not be completed because of an attempt to sell or otherwise transfer Membership Reward points to someone else which is not permitted under the terms and conditions of the program." I call customer service who essentially says it's an automatic review and could take 6-8 weeks to complete. No one can tell me any more information, "it's at corporate" and they don't have contact info for them. I can't seem to find much about it online either. My flight availability will almost definitely be gone by then. Any ideas?

You must not know what crawfish means. Do I have to spell that out for you too? Change story? You're a bigger Dumbass that I originally thought.

Obviously we're not on the same churning level so I'm not sure why I even waste my time with you, but If I can save one person here from your ignorant shite posting I'm content.

You pussy, STFU.

I've posted plenty on this thread and helped many people. Go cradle your AMEX in your arms and tell her it's going to be alright. You've been shown your arse over and over and all you've done is muddy the thread up, go away.

Or you can get a GC with AA or SW. I did AA but not sure when I'll use it.

That's ridiculous. AMEX CSR are usually excellent so if they're throwing their hands up then that's weird. Did they charge you a fee?

Chief, no problem here transferring Amex points. You probably just got hit with some random audit. Sucks but it can happen.

Re Amex. I generate a lot of Amex points every year and have found them to be extremely valuable. Coupled with the other benefits I use from Amex I’m a satisfied customer.

Do credit cards consider calendar year spending to end at your last statement of the year or on December 31st? My last statement is December 17th.. but I made a purchase on December 31st to get over my spend threshold. But that statement doesn't close until January 17th. Should the December 31st purchase count toward 2018?

What card? It really depends, if it is a signup offer along the lines of "spend $5k annually to receive 30,000 bonus points", that should be 12 months from signup ie not a calendar year.

However, cards like the Delta Amex's bonus are for calendar years... ie you have to spend $25,000 between 1/1-12/31 to reach the bonus points. If you signup for the card on 6/1 as an example, you only have from 6/1-12/1 to reach $25,000 spend for the card.

It depends on what you're talking about. A credit or just a date to spend something by? Example, for SW CP people will get the card in Dec so they can get the CP early in Jan but you don't put spend on it until the Dec statement is already done. So using your dates, someone getting the SW card would want to start spending Dec 18th and on and that would count towards January statement in 2019.

What's the best way to redeem Chase UR points for Delta flights? I need to book a flight from LEX/CVG/SDF to Fort Lauderdale, and Delta wants $650/ticket.

If I log into chase, go to the rewards portal, looks like that flight would cost me about 40K UR points.

Is that the best way to redeem?

Edit: Skymiles would be about 120K for 2 tickets, and that seems like highway robbery. I could pay with skymiles or UR points, but I feel like I could use those for a better flight/trip later.

I'm not sure if it's available on your specific route, but Flying Blue, Korean Air, and Virgin Atlantic are Chase transfer partners and have the ability to book Delta flights, although I'm only familiar with int'l options for them. Not sure how much cheaper they'd be than 40K RT though. Delta is an Amex travel partner if they're your airline of choice FYI.

Correct. Was such a sweet deal. I transferred 100k UR to just sit in my KA account until use them.

Yeah, I think checking Virgin could be a good bet. They have some great deals to Japan and Europe this way on Detal metal. Worst case I guess just do it through the portal but 40k is a lot of points for that trip. You can fly to Hawaii with that amount.

Transferring was a better deal than the 50% bonus on points through UR Booking?

On another note, do you guys consider it a waste to use these points on domestic flights? Seems almost everyone is using them for international flights, but honestly, world travel isn't interesting to my wife, so I think my best usage is domestic flights. Would like to go to Hawaii sometime in the next year, but other than that, no where special.
We go to FLL regularly because we take cruises out of there.
I don't want to "waste" my points, or under use their value, but am not looking to go to China/Singapore/etc. I would like to see Australia, but don't know that I want to travel that far. I have about 400K in UR points currently.

One more comment/question.

I price a flights on Delta Lex-Fll on the dates I need, and it would cost me either (for 2 tickets) $1500 or 160K skymiles on Delta's site, or 105K miles booking thru Chase's site.

How is the best way to determine if booking on the Chase UR site is the best value? I could also consider Southwest out of SDF, and transfer points to my account there, but I'm having a hard time determining what is the best value choice to make.
