The minimum you will earn with that combo is 22.5k to 30k chase UR points and that's if you put everything on the freedom unlimited at 1.5x. In practice, you would put all of your travel and restaurant charges on the csp for 2x. The csp will allow you to transfer all of the points to united as an example where you can get a domestic round trip ticket for 25k miles. Your total cost is the annual fee of the csp.
If that redemption is not worthwhile for you, then get a cash back card where you can easily find 2% back. That'd be worth $400 with no annual fee if you ring up $20k in a year.

That is a good explanation. Personally l, I have gone the 2% cash back card route (Fidelity Visa) instead, in addition to the Chase Hyatt. These exclude the ones I churn of course. I do understand the point of the CSP if you need car rental insurance as AmeriKop once pointed out.

That isn't the point of the discussion. And if you wanted to, you could always avoid a particular airline.
I do most of my flying through Paris or London, which means that BA and Air France are often the best option. That's why would quibble with that statement. I find both head and shoulders above their American competition.

I may have confused chase freedom and their unlimited card. But it is a solid deal when paired together.
I just signed up and was approved for the citi prestige card. I can't wait to use the golf feature. My girlfriend already thinks I'm nuts. I have a trip coming up and I want to use the priority pass or admiral's club since we are flying American.

I have the Ink business card and have a few questions if anyone can help. Does anyone know if paying my state tax on card will count toward minimum spend. I have reached my 5K if it does. Also after meeting minimum spend how long before it posts. I was hoping to book airline after my statement comes this month with UR points but do not know if it will be delayed posting to my account.

We talk a lot about points on here, but I want to remind everyone that most of the higher level cards come with serious extra benefits you might not think of.
A few pages ago, I mentioned that I bought a laptop on Samsung.com for $1,200, which counted as a 5x utility bonus on my Ink. About 35 days later, I received an email from Samsung advertising a Mother's Day sale which had my laptop $100 off. I was so pissed off I instantly unsubscribed from their email list. Then I remembered Visa Signature cards have price protection for 90 days. I called Chase Ink card benefits, put in a claim for the $100, and just received email confirmation that my check is on the way.
That one benefit will cover my entire annual fee this year.

Along those lines, the "Amex Offers" that pop up each month almost always have a $25 off, $100 purchase included in them. I save anywhere from $200-500 annually through these offers, I will typically buy gift cards through the online portal. Staples just had a good one last month.

I spent an hour the other day looking through some of the benefits of my Citi AAdvantage and my SPG American Express. Pretty cool everything that is available, but definitely takes some work to find.

If you get the chance today to help me with a cheap flight I am flying BHM to Dallas on the 9th of June one way. Will be paying cash.

$165 is the cheapest right now. It is direct on American.

I saw that. And will pull the trigger tonight but Amerikomp has some secret backdoor voodoo trick to pull outrageously cheap flights out of thin air.

I am planning my trip from July 13-20. On Chase portal I can book Alaska for under 35K points. Is there a way I can book that flight for less using one of the Chase transfer partners. If you can let me know of a better deal on flights for that time I am willing to fly all airlines except Spirit because of the fees for all the little things.

There's a red-eye back on united in economy for 12,500 miles. Connects in Houston and gets you back on the 21st. Nothing there available though.

One way to meet min spend requirement: purchase kroger gift card(s). Then purshase kroger money orders with gift card for $0.70 a money order.... profit

Back from the dead. Was banned. I think Chicken thought I was a credit card company as I was "soliciting" e-mails.

So my first statement from Chase SW card was $2400 spending, they transferred 2400 points but not 50k bonus. They said "You'll have to wait until next statement cycle."
I want my companion pass now so I can book a flight
Plus side, got my 52k Sapphire Points, 120k SW points + companion coming and another 52k CSP probably soon

Ya, registered for that yesterday. Annoyingly enough, I booked a flight in September before this came out which would have got me 8,000 for $500 in spending.
Now I'll probably go out of my way to book United to New Orleans and skip the direct with Southwest for a September trip I have to do there.
