Looking for ideas to generate some quick MR.
Need 210k MR for a flight and we are ~ 1600 MR short.
There's an offer for 2k points with $50 spend on box.com but idk how fast those points will be deposited

Which airline are you transferring to?

I would just buy them. $25 for 1000 points IIRC.
However this can only be done on the phone when in the process of making a redemption. So give them a call and see what they say

Got any SPG? You could also buy 2000 spg points ($70) and transfer those to ANA. However, this transfer will take a few days (4-6)

I have 82k SPG.
I read that SPG transferred at 3:1 but it seems that was wrong.

SPG transfers to ANA at 1:1.
Can you post what you're trying to book? The actual routing?

What's the 30 day message mean on the chase status line?
Feel like all of my apps are going into pending mode these days. May need to take a couple quarters off from churning.

I have a question about redeeming UR points. Is it better to use the Chase portal or transfer points to an airline and book with the airline? I do not know the pros and cons of each. I will be booking MSY to Seattle in July. TIA

Just remember this: Try to get at least 2 cents per point value per UR. Booking through Chase portal yields 1.25c across the board, so you should never be doing that.

i have never redeemed UR points yet. I am looking at using Delta, AA, Alaska or United for flight. Some are not part of Chase partners so I may not be able to transfer to Alaska, for example. Does transferring points to domestic airline yield more than 1.25c. I think the price of the ticket is the same in Chase portal as on airline website but not sure. Please explain how I can increase value of points.

Bar a few exceptions, US legacy carriers and BA always fall short compared to their peers around the world.
As an airline, I would agree BA isn't ANA or Singapore... but they don't fly the same routes which makes that kind of comparison less useful.

Don't look at the price of the ticket in dollars on the airline website. Look at the cost in miles.

That isn't the point of the discussion. And if you wanted to, you could always avoid a particular airline.

Amerikop, I need your help in booking a flight. If need be, I can shoot you an email.
Looking to go to Scotland. Would like to stopover for a night in London, if possible.
Points that I currently have. 88,000 amex points, 30,000 chase points. Also gave 40,000 citi thank you points. I am fine flying coach (of course business is fine as well) . I don't mind doing some more sign ups, but delta and United is the only one I haven't done recently. What would you recommend? I also have enough sw points to position to most cities (I am located on East coast).

Looking to take a trip to Montreal next year for two, thinking of staying in the Courtyard by Marriott downtown and flights on Delta out of MSY. Marriott for 5-6 nights looks like it requires 140,000 points and Delta flights would probably be at least 75k points.
The Premier Rewards Marriott card looks like it has a signup bonus of 80k points on 3k in 3 months spend. I see an AMEX Delta card with a low spend signup bonus, but the offer is 30k points. Anyone have better suggestions? CSP is out, I think, as I had it a few years back and still have the regular Chase Sapphire.

CSP is one I will be grabbing this yr. the Premier Rewards Marriot is another. It's worth the $85 AF because you get a free night in categories 1-5 properties after your first yr, every yr. so for me, it will pay off in 4 yrs or so...but I use Marriot 1-2 times a yr.
But other than getting the free night, it may not be worth it if you don't use them. I've always book at least one room a year with them.
So, why not both!? Grab the CSP and chase freedom unlimited first at the same time, then Marriot latter.

I still do not quite understand the combo benefits of the Chase Freedom Unlimited and the CSP if you are only spending between 15-20k a year on credit cards. Mainly because of the annual fee without annual compensation to reward it.
