BlueCash doesn't have any airline travel rewards. Their redemption is pretty garbage.
Seems like OP was looking for CB and specifically Disney travel. One of the only places where CSP isn't top of the line haha

Some reason I misread and thought you were saying there was redemption bonuses on BlueCash
Also, AMEX card benefit has a phone bill 10% credit up to $30 through July. Easy way to get $30

No doubt. AmEx offers more than pay for my AF throughout the year.

Correct. We just don't fly much when we travel....Disney or otherwise. I guess I'm a bit old school and like the road trips. I won't get rid of the Disney card because it gives you perks in the parks while you're there. But we rarely use it for anything else outside of it. I don't really keep it for the points.
The Blue Cash is the Amex, right?
Posted on 3/30/16 at 5:43 pm to GeauxColonels
Yes. Just make sure you are applying with the $250 bonus offer.

We took 5 trips last year including Italy and have another 4 on the docket for this year. I think we're getting an ok return

I'm in the same boat. Haven't bought flights unless it was better to from a cost/value perspective in about 3 or 4 years. Do 3-4 trips per year. Usually one international in premium cabins. 4 people a go.
I'm a bit newer to maxing hotel rewards. Used to stay at four seasons all the time because my company had a corp rate. Now I'd only stay there as a last resort since there's no loyalty program. At some point it is going to materially impact their business travel clientele and they'll wake up.

Wife wants a MasterCard card for Costco. Looks like all of hers are Visas. What's the best Citi/ MasterCard to apply for?
Posted on 3/30/16 at 7:49 pm to Odinson
Depends on if you want to use for travel or? If travel and you like AA, go for the Citi Plat and get their MC and 50,000 miles.
If you like hotel cards, you can get the IHG MC. Only $49 fee and a free night a year. Get 60-80,000 points to start.
ETA: IHG is Chase so if you want Citi, probably go the AA card.

I did my part today and voted against the merger for Starwood and Marriott
Since I have an old 401k with Starwood and have Starwood stock in there, I got a proxy in the mail. Now, hopefully another 50% do the same.

How does this make a diff?

I may have it backwards. All she has is MasterCard. Will they accept MasterCard?? I have both visa and MC so I did not do much research.

I think I'm about break even on the fee with offers. I avg around $30-35/mo on rewards on only gas/grocery

Ahh my bad. I understand now. You want a Visa because that is all Costco will accept. Freedom Unlimited is the one for you. 1.5X UR on all purchases. Gotta apply over the phone though.
CSP if you eat out a lot and like to travel. There are some links to the app page for this one 1-2 pages behind.

I have the Blue Cash Preferred, but tucking it away until I meet the spend minimums for the Starwood Preferred, Chase Sapphire, and Ink (hopefully - no notification of acceptance or decline at this point).

GeauxColonels,
If you're close to New Orleans, you should try and get SW premier and a biz sw when they have the 50k promos...then cancel the $69 sw. Get SW companion pass and you're set for SW flights. New Orleans has nonstop to Orlando...it might change your mind about driving. (Cancel 2 new sw cards before next annual fee hits)
Transfer all but a small portion of your Disney CL to another chase card and keep it open for promotions and discounts.

That's why I got the SWRR card in the first place. We flew there a few times since then and used the points once...maybe twice. Problem is I just don't rack up the points like I thought I would. So, for me, the $69 annual fee is just throwing away money. If I can get something with cash back for online purchasing and maybe some everyday stuff, I think it would benefit me more.
We have no balance on the Disney card either....lucky for me the wife hates the idea of having balances on credit cards. So, we don't carry balances on any card for long. The Disney card gets some perks at the parks (discounts and cardholder exclusive experiences) and also gets you interest free financing on a trip for a short period of time. So we usually spread out paying that off over a couple of months at 0% interest.

Yah but if you get the two SW cards at 50k each then get the additional 4k spend you're at 110k miles and a companion pass which means your partner flies free the rest of that year and the following...all for two annual fees. (Don't worry about spend on the cards)
