Is the Avios CC with 50k signup + 50k if you spend $20k good?
I can put my wedding on a CC and get the Travel Together pass that gives free same class round ticket to Europe too

You should expect to pay around 1,000 for the first redemption ticket. I haven't used the travel together ticket before, but it may come with additional surcharges.
In effect, you're paying for a coach ticket and getting upgraded to Club World or First.

If you want the Avios and you're willing to put the spending on the card - I suppose so.

Sure this ha been mentioned before, but a buddy was telling me that every dollar you spend on uber will get you corresponding Starwood points.

Just tried my first one bio serve load at rite aid...OV didn't work ?? Everything was fine until after I pushed "none" for cash back

That's right. You have to have one stay at a starwood property to activate the earning. if you use uber during a starwood stay, you will get additional points per dollar - 1 extra for general member, 2 extra for gold or plat. Not a ton of points, but it's on top of earnings from the uber trips themselves on your credit card. Also, this quarter's chase freedom categories will give you 5% back on uber (and cabs, lyft, etc).

hello credit card friends. couple quick questions for you gurus.
couple years ago i added the Chase Sapphire Preferred and Chase Freedom cards as recommended by the board. They've worked well and i like working with Chase. Should i simply keep them as is or make any changes? just your thoughts.
Also, i am wanting to open a credit card for my business, a small insurance agency (~2.5m revenue). What would be your recommendation?
considering the Chase Ink since i am already so familiar.
However we bank with Iberia.
appreciate your insight.

Just remember that if you use those Avios to fly on British Air you'll get hit with the fuel surcharge. Cost me about $400 each way per person to Italy but Club World is the tits.

Si. And I really like their soft product, so that makes the fuel charge easier to swallow.

Do we need to add a NSFW to title?

My situation: I put 30,000 dollars a month combined on multiple United Business and personal credit cards and pay them out every month. I do this because I travel for family reasons to one very specific place often and get a lot of free tickets this way. United has stopped offering one leg of this journey making it hard to get to my destination with them. American Airlines has stepped in and made the trip easier than ever before. I would like to switch credit cards to take advantage of this.
My question: Should I just switch to American Airline credit cards or just go with American Express. 95% of my travel expenses are to this one place and I use every credit card point I earn to get to this place. The bills are paid out in full every month. I've read much of this thread over the years but never came across someone with this problem, but I know there are guys in here that know their shite when it comes to this, so I'm asking for help.

If you want American Airlines miles you need an American Airlines branded credit card. The only exception to this is the Starwood Amex card. No other cards transfer to points to American Airlines.

Thanks for the quick response. Forgive my ignorance here and let me ask one more question. Say a ticket costs 1800 bucks. Couldn't I buy it using Amex points? I know the points aren't transferrable to American Airlines points, but can't you really buy anything with Amex points? I think an 1800 buck item would be 180,000 Amex points, right?
Also, do you know anything about the American Airlines reward system? Is it any good compared to other airlines?

You can do much better than a 1% return. The Citi double cash (or whatever it's called) gets a 2% rebate with no annual fee.
If you were to use the Starwood amex, that 180,000 spend is worth 225,000 AA points. You need to look at the aa rewards chart and see how many points are needed to get to your destination. You can also look online and get a snapshot of availability by putting in various dates.
If a lot of your $30,000 spend is on airline tickets themselves (on AA), then get an AA card because it gives 2 miles for $ spent on AA tickets.

Welp. My Serve account is dead.
Thank god I fulfilled all the sign up bonuses I wanted to already.

There is a current AA promotion that gives you miles after you gift to someone. I'm not sure if this would work but you could get the citi AA card and then gift the miles to your spouse's AA account if married. (Timing might not work as well because it has to be done by end of January)
"Now through January 29, 2016, we're offering up to 50% American Airlines AAdvantage® bonus miles for buying or gifting miles. A 50% bonus means up to 50,000 bonus miles – that's enough for 2 domestic round-trip MileSAAver® awards (fees may apply).*
Buy/Gift Bonus Miles
5,000 – 14,000 1,000
15,000 – 24,000 5,000
25,000 – 49,000 10,000
50,000 – 69,000 22,500
70,000 – 99,000 35,000
100,000 – 150,000 50,000"

Exactly. You can also accelerate status with AA because of your spending. $40k on the Citi Executive card equals 10000 AQ miles. It's a shame you didn't get the Barclay USAir card before it went away last year because those of us that have it can get an additional 10000 AQ miles with the same spend on that card. That's only 5000 AQ short of gold status and with the amount that it appears that you fly you'd get even higher status.
So, your $180k on the Citi card would net you 360000 miles plus actual mileage flown plus status if it's spent all on AA flights. That's a ton more than other other conversion you'll find for that particular airline.

I came here to post that too.
My wife's account was shut down, but I haven't received one yet(hopefully don't) for mine. I use hers to load/unload exclusively. I pay bills with mine. Not sure if that has saved it, or they just haven't gotten to me yet.

I put $5k each of MS on my wife's card and mine in Dec to hit some bonuses on cards. Unfortunately I don't usually do that, but may be just bad timing.
According to FT they did a pretty massive sweep of Serve and BB to clean out some MSers.

Yah, I'm reading that...looks like they did a wide sweep this morning. I was just about to start using serve.
