Or, can I start getting them credit card bonuses too?
I'd do it in a heartbeat.
Ya, I don't want to have to think about the logistical issues. Convincing the wife we might have to separate 2 and 2 on different flights will be fun.

I run a small non profit and we need to get a credit card...Anyone have any experience with that and what the rules are on keeping the reward points? I guess I could just turn them into cash and deposit into our account.
AMEX has sent us the platinum(100k point offer) and gold(75k point offer), but we wouldn't hit the spending requirements for the platinum.

Yep. We decided that 1 first class or biz seat on flights > 8 hours and trade off will be our strategy for the time being.
I need another SSN generating points

I'm unfamiliar with the legal side of using points for personal travel from a card that is registered under a business CC. I'd have to look in to who could use those points and under what premises they could be used.
They have an attorney on here that should look in to that for you.

Just read 20k Starwood now transfers to 30k to American. Niiiiice

I saw that. I've got about 70k spg points but I also have about 400k AA points. Hah. I actually prefer to use my spg points on hotels now a days.
I'm saving those spg points for Disney world with the kids since they started limiting amex cards. 40k points gets 5 nights on property. Better than paying more than $1700 for rooms.
Day care expenses are perfect for the amex spg. Basically gives a "free" 5 night stay for each kid going through day care.

If it's a corporation consult a lawyer. If it's not it's just a business card attached to a person.

I may look into this more. You mentioned it to me before but I didn't give it much of a look.

And they're good for HI and out to Asia on partners so may be worth it. I need a biz card anyway.

I did that last time they ran it, twice
I have about 40k SPG but I actually think I'm going to keep them and use them for hotels in Europe next year. I have 140k AA miles anyway so I'm good for now.
Not that I have 400k like some people though...

what you guys think about the chase Hyatt card.... zero annual fee first year, 2 nights free anywhere after 1k spend in 3 months, $50 statement credit. I'm thinking of getting one for myself and my wife and spending 4 nights free in Kauai.

Fun morning for my clan.
My two brothers, my mom, and my brother's GF are heading to Italy. Supposed to meet up at Dulles with my aunt.
WELL, apparently that storm yesterday shot out a lightning bolt that killed the plane that is supposed to go to Dulles and there isn't much else they can do to get there.
I got an alternate from MSY to YYZ to FCO landing 2 hours later than scheduled. I hope the book it, but they aren't exactly pros. I picture them all running in random directions panicking.
ETA:
Their new flight path is pretty amazingly bad.
MSY to Newark to Amsterdam to Vienna to Rome
Glad I'm not on this one

Teddy, I feel like I remember you going to Thailand?
Just decided to book a trip there for August for one of the half moon parties. Going to Melbourne first to visit some friends and then Thailand.
Any quick tips? Working on flights right now.

I had the this card for a couple years, canceled it a few months ago and just re-applied bc I'm staying at a Hyatt property for the next several months. In my opinion, Hyatt points go so much further than any other reward program, and its not even a contest.
Stayed at the Grand Hyatt Kauai for 6 nights for 132k points, plus an upgrade. I have acquired over 330K lifetime hyatt points and that has equated to at least 25+ free nights over the last few years.

I've spent just over 250 last I looked at Hyatt properties and will spend about another 150k in the next year.

Yea, I just got quoted $2200 for a flight from MSY leaving Aug 10 to Melbourne(United), then Melbourne to BKK(Malaysia airlines) Aug 17th with a quick layover in KUALA LUMPUR.
Need to be down south for the half moon party on the 23rd so that gives us about 6 days to get there. Then leaving two days later on the 25th out of BKK, tokyo layover and then back to MSY on United.
I literally just decided to pull the trigger on this with a friend because we both have time in August to do this.

YO HEY
I'm going in December.
Not sure what research you've done, but the main "Moon Party" island is Ko Phagnan. You'll have to fly into Ko Samui and I believe Bangkok airways has basically a monopoly on that airport.
I've read so much stuff I might be able to help with other stuff despite not actually have gone yet.
Something about drinking red buckets of alcohol and lots of fire are involved. I think if you don't come home with an STD you may see that as a success or a failure depending on how you look at it
You should also technically be out of the Gulf of Thailand wet season in August, but I imagine it could still be quite humid.
I felt one day of the monsoon super humidity in Delhi, and thank god it was only one day because it was something I've never felt before. Every thing else was pretty common LA humidity. Remember when you read people bitching about the weather, they are usually pasty Brits.
