I know we had a small thing going on inside of a thread not too long ago. Results came out today, so did anyone get results back today? I passed Reg with an 89, and I homestead to God thought I failed it. Two down, two to go.

How is everyone else doing?

Just got my last score back - 88 on FAR! I'm finally DONE!

Know the feeling exactly. I thought I failed it as well. Thought it was the hardest test I'd ever taken.

Idk when you took your test last (if you did) but imo nowadays with the increased number of Sims there is really no telling. I, for one, can guarantee that there is no chance in hell I really made an 88 so there must have been some sort of a curve/other technique that went in my favor.

I can usually guess my score on tests withing 5% points or so. However, as someone who finished the CPA exam about a year ago, I can say that it is the one exam that I felt like I failed every time (all 4 parts) and didn't actually fail once. I'd walk out feeling like I got a 60 and I really got an 86

That's the thing, they're not really clear on how they grade it. I've heard they just take the top X amount of scores and curve them to a passing grade but who knows

I very much think that they do some sort of a tiered-percentile. They probably have a band where they see what the top 5% people scored and place them at 99, then place people on tiers from then on. 96,90,88 and so on. So if you made between say a 62-70, they give you a 74. Because how else would so many people fail with a 74?

Nice I envy you.

Exactly. When I took BEC I walked out and there was only about 3 multiple choice I didn't at least have a good idea on and I knew all the Sims. Made an 83 when I legitimately thought the lowest I would make was a 90. I was really expecting about a 60 on Reg. Made an 89. Makes no sense.

Congrats to all.

We can play the game that I play with our staff when they pass the last section, and it goes like this.

Now that you have passed the last exam... what are you going to do with all your new free time?

I'm retaking FAR on Jan. 5th, have a much better grasp of material this time around. Just repeating MCQs and practicing sims on areas like leases, bonds, and stocks.

Plan to retake REG in early March. Won't move beyond that until I pass at least one section.

I'm using Gleim and it's very effective when you already had a decent foundation of knowledge. The long wait to find out scores sucks, imo.

Yeah. I've purposely scheduled at the very end of testing windows on purpose to get my scores back quickly.

I know it's super exepensive, but if you can swing it I really think Becker is worth it. I've made an 83 and 89 on the two sections ive taken. If you think about it being $200/test and you fail a few it's worth the extra money for Becker.

I admittedly didn't have to pay out of pocket for it, but that's my two cents regarding the quality of the material.

Practice a LOT of LCM, and know your consolidations. You'll likely have a Sim on both. Also know specific time event accrual rules. I thought these were by far the most heavily tested individual areas.

I agree. Becker worked really well for me too. Do all the questions and sims at least twice. Passed all on my first try 96, 92, 92, 88

I used Wiley supplemented with Ninja MCQ and passed all on my first try also with almost the exact same scores. Just got my last score back on Monday night

Same. That way you know whether or not you have to keep studying for the same part or move on to the next right away. I was about to lose a part so had to take this one 1.5 months in advance. The wait was brutal.

I always scheduled my test the last day of the testing window before I started studying. And schedule a vacation right after to have something to look forward to and not be able to move the test.

I had 96,93,93,88.

Nice! Mine were AUD, BEC, REG, FAR. You?

BEC, AUD, REG, FAR

I actually work in corporate, so kind of surprised FAR was my lowest score. I probably over studied for most of these
