That WSJ list has LSU MBA ranked ahead of Vandy, Georgetown and Notre Dame.

Worst case scenario, you can always go back and find an IA job.
that's what I'm thinking. I'll always have the experience I'm gaining in IA from my internship and also from going through the LSU program. Having those on my resume will be huge whether I'm interviewing this year or 2 years from now.
For recent LSU Finance grads what are some of the typical jobs guys are getting straight out of undergrad? If I choose not to pursue energy trading/grad school, I want to know what I'll be looking at straight out of LSU with only IA internship experience.

You'll be getting offers to do IA, which will be better than the majority of people who will be going to law school because they can't find jobs they want or jobs period. It was like this in 2007 when a bunch of my friends graduated, it was like this in 2008 when every one else graduated. I don't know about 2009 and 2010, but I would imagine its the same and/or likely worse for obvious reasons.

FWIW a friend of mine did exactly that (graduated in 07 in Fin, did IA and went to work for PWC in Charlotte) and she just came back to nola this summer to go to Tulane to get her MBA. Its really not a bad route, she's killing pretty much every body in terms of 1) actual money made and 2) experience, and brand name experience at that.

I know this. I'm expecting a full time offer from my internship and have a great chance of IA elsewhere if I don't accept.
I was more so talking about my job chances if I chose not to do IA... strictly finance.
