Is the Coinbase app the only way to go about buying some? Is there a preference over one or the other? I looked at the end of the thread on the front page but it seems to be a lot of people asking to be added? Do you have to be invited to join Coinbase? Thanks for any help.

Coinbase, Gemini, and other cryptocurrency exchanges are options.
Basically you go to their website and follow the instructions to set up an account. You will likely have to verify your identification by sending in a picture of your drivers license or something and it will take them a couple days to approve your account.
Then you will be able to link up a credit card or bank account to their website/exchange to deposit funds. Then you can purchase various coins (BTC, ETH, etc...) and begin trading or holding.

Coinbase verifies through email and your phone. Takes about 5 minutes to set up.

There are other exchanges but Coinbase is generally the easiest to get started for a beginner. Sign up, submit your information to be verified, then transfer money from your bank onto Coinbase. Then you purchase bitcoin/ethereum

Maybe others can chime in with thier opinions but once you get setup. I'd be patient

bitcoin stock seems highly volatile, IMO

If you think Bitcoin is volatile, you haven't even scratched the surface

That's my question too lol
What's the lowest amount you can buy in at? For instance I have $1000 that I can play around with. Is that not enough? Sorry if that's a stupid question

You can buy $3 worth if you want. You dont have to buy whole coins

I just got my feet wet last week. Decided to do an even split between Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin. Today, I also transferred a small amount of Bitcoin profits to purchase Iona.

Is this your belief because it has shot up exponentially in a short amount of time or is this your belief because you don’t believe/understand the technology?
Serious question
