BT’s 10 financial commandments

Unlike most here, I find BabyTac fascinating. Not sure if he’s trolling or not, but the reactions are hilarious, and he has pretty sensible advice when you listen to it assuming you’re not financially insecure. Here’s 10 financial lessons if anyone wants to add to it—anything I missed?:

1) Buy pre pandemic Toyota because American cars are of suspect quality and will leave you stranded with depreciation
2)Hold onto receipts in case you need to exchange for store credit months later
3)Audit your girlfriend before proposing to check for income and any debt that you would have to inherit
4)Make coffee at home and skip eating out. If you must, avoid tipping.
5)Manage an active budget and invest as much of your paycheck as possible into a passive index fund, avoiding financial advisors
6)Don’t withdraw from social security until age 70 to ensure maximum payments
7)Avoid paying for day cares if possible, opting for your wife to find a part time work from home job instead
8)Avoid flying first class in favor of economy, never trading money that can be saved for convenience
9)Don’t buy a $100k bass boat for your fishing tournaments with meager reward money
10)Quit keeping up with the Joneses by buying expensive cars, jewelry, etc. to impress anyone because they are just as likely to be in dept. Instead, invest that money and convert it into frick you money decades later.
