Did anyone get rich off DGAZ today??

some bought around the $2.60 range right?

At $3.91 that's just north of 50% if my simple math is correct...

Thinking about picking up Jan 17 UNG 23 calls for .80.

I did earlier today...feel like there has to be a bump up enough before then to make a little...

but then I'm not the expert here

Just picked them up @ .73. Need just one polar vortex scare and this could triple.

350 more shares of UGAZ at $11.37.

Next buy point is at $9.00

I hope I don't get there.

Do you ever buy options, or do you just buy shares outright?

Kind of new here but been lurking. Thinking about getting in with options.

edit: it doesn't seem like you can buy options with ugaz?

Buying/Selling options on a 3x ETF. That is just ballsy sir.

Obviously it can't be done on UGAZ or DGAZ but try it on UNG.

Broke above $4. UNG Jan 21 calls never got to $1.12, which was my buy point. Ah well, it goes like it goes. I had expected oil, gas and silver to have some type of recovery, and it looks like they did. To be perfectly honest, I have no idea about any short term trading of any commodities right now. Sharp decreases like this, and make no mistake some of the assets classes including the one's that are leading indicators, had extremely sharp decreases. It really almost started to look like deflation, especially copper and wheat.

So what you're saying is that I shouldn't have bought 532 shares of UGAZ at 11.28 today?! Do I bail tomorrow?

No, I don't think I ever said that. I think long natty gas is a decent play. I wouldn't necessarily follow my advice 100% on these boards. I make a lot of trades and adjustments throughout the day. Several between posts. I'd consider big picture advice and trends perhaps, but I don't like being pinned down to yes or no responses to questions like "Do I bail tomorrow?". That stuff is up to you. It is your money, not mine.

funny things going on. looks like the oil bust may have spooked all commodities. I don't see deflation being an issue with the U.S. economy as strong as it is, but who knows

that's what hedge funds traditionally charge...2% of the assets and 20% of the profits above a benchmark
