Great TVs.

I picked up a 42' last year at Rex.

Guy was setting it up as a display saved 15% for buying a "display" model that was out of the box for 15mins

Sears is supposed to have a Panasonic 42" 720p Veiro? on sale on BF. $400-450, normal price is at $900+ I think.

Damn-bought one from Sears this Spring for the kid's media room, and thought I did good getting it for $850...

Any word on any other bargins-on-line preferred? Notwithstanding the differences of opinion amongst the TD crowd, looking for a decent Blu-Ray player to steal.

I read an article yesterday talking about some great deals when shopping. Wal-Mart had a Magnavox Blu-Ray player for $128. Very cheap in comparison to others and how much they were when they first came out. I use my Playstation 3 as a Blu-Ray player. Definitely a must have. Picture and sound are unbelievable. I assume you know there is no sense in having a Blu-Ray player unless you have a 1080P TV.

I look for it not only to be Black Friday but Black Month this year. You might see a lot of going out of business sales right around christmas.

Seems to me that would make it red month, not black month.

My son, who has managed Game Stops for several years, just passed by Best Buy (at 17:00) and said there were already a dozen people waiting in line for the 4 a.m. opening!

He somewhat dreads the day because, as manager of a store, he deals with all of the disgruntled customers over sold out items, disallowed checks, credit cards that have overlimited, etc.

Its great for the business but not for the actual employees on those days. If you go, be patient!!

Just bought this beast on newegg. Screw waiting in a line, especially with free 1 day shipping.

I think a lot of people will opt online ... most of the stores are offering free shipping. I'm not one to fight crowds when the online prices are just as good.

My total black Friday purchases - one pair of shoelaces, $1.99 (plus tax).

I really feel that I helped boost the economy.

Me too. Everyone on my Christmas list gets 1/8 of a shoelace! Thanks Bernanke!
