Citi or Fidelity (if you have a fidelity account) : 2%
Amazon (if you have prime): 5%
Chase Freedom - usually gas and groceries for 2 quarters: 5%
Discover - same as Chase: 5%
US Bank - fast food / utilities: 5%
Ducks Unlimited - gas: 5%
BOA: online purchases: 3%
Amex - groceries: 3%
Well Fargo - restaurants: 3%
These are the ones I can think of right now. For most purchases, you can get at least 3% back if you have the right cards.

my go to cashback cards are:
AMEX blue cash preferred: 6% groceries... in addition to groceries I buy $500 visa gift cards that I use for various stuff that typically wouldnt get extra cashback
US Bank cash+: my favorite categories are utilities+fast food+restaurants... works for my gas
Discover + Chase Freedom: rotating 5% categories... usually there's is a category for both that Im able to max out the 5% limit on
Chase Freedom Unlimited: 1.5% on everything... UR points are worth 1.5x value for me so this is equivalent to 2.25% cashback for me

I use Chase United Mileage for international flights & use Chase Southwest Rapid Rewards for domestic. Haven't paid for a flight in the past decade.

I never use it for cash back, but the Chase Sapphire Reserve is my main card.
Right now it is 5% on groceries and door dash on top of $60 in door dash credits with free door dash membership. 3% on restaurants and travel.
You get 1.5 times value for travel or 1:1 transfer to many travel programs.
You also get a priority pass airport lounge membership which was great and will be great again in the future and automatic status with several rental car companies.

Alliant is 3% for the first year and 2.5% thereafter. No categories or any other restrictions.
Relatively new caveats for this card, unfortunately...$10k/month limit on the 2.5% and the recently raised the annual fee from $59 to $95.
That said, it's still the card I use most.

I just use Discover for most things now, I keep a Visa to extend warranties on certain things and to use at Costco, it has 1% on most things but specifically excludes warehouse stores and super centers for cash back. It is stupid, you can use Discover at Costco.com but not at the store, I think you might be able to get around it using a mobile pay app, but I haven't tried it yet.
