We have a 15x19. It holds a kings size bed, two night stands, dresser, chest, and a chair and ottoman. It doesn't feel cramped, but I also wouldn't mind if that 15 were a 16 or 17.

he current plan calls for 15x19. What is your opinion?

It's a nice size.

Mine is 16x20 not including the bay siting area and I feel it's just about right. bed, two night stands. Long dresser, chest of drawers, and a small work desk

And yes, My next house will have a his/hers master bathroom. separate showers, water closets, wardrobes. Nothing shared.

Definitely big enough for my needs

Our master bedroom is 14.5' x 15.5'

It is is plenty of room.

We have a king size bed with night stands on each of our sides.

We both have a dresser in the room. My wife's dresser is of the wider variety (6' wide). Mine is taller so only 3' wide.

She also has a vanity in the room to get ready in the morning. Probably 4' wide.

We have all of these items with plenty of room to move around the bed on both sides and in front.

Mine is almost 20'x20', but I have a desk set up in the corner to work (I wanted the view of the water.) It is plenty big, but don' have any desire to downsize...

i wouldn't go less than 16x20. Ain't just about what you can live with but also what gives your house value and appeal long term. Don't skimp on master closet space either.
