Searched through the WC method and didn't see any recs on who he likes. I know I've seen some in other threads but can't recall any besides capital one.

Looking for new (used) vehicle for wife. Both have 800+ credit scores. Already approved through Cap1 for as low as 3.2%

Any other recs out there?

Seems high. I got 1.99% five years ago and rates have only gotten lower over time. Use nerd wallet or a similar site to search for the best auto rates. As long as they allow auto payment and have a website, then I don’t care about the lender.

I thought 3.2 was good for used vehicle rate

Most time we buy new at 0%, but we're about to dump an exploder Ford can't fix. Just want to keep note about the same we're paying now and still want to pay off in 3-4yrs. Can't do that anymore with a new vehicle

Nah. Rates are much higher now than they used to be. I believe they've dropped in the last few months, but I know of a few people who've purchased both used and new in 2019 and weren't able to get better than 3.8% despite excellent credit.

shite my 800 credit score wife couldn't get better than 3.5% on a new car with nearly 40% down. Dealership offered 0.9% but doing so removed a big manufacturer rebate so it didn't make sense in our situation to get the lower rate.

I thought so myself. Wife is in banking so we keep up with rates fairly regularly.

Would like to do new vehicle but won't be able to stick to our financial plans if we do so. Them frickers are outrageous these days. Looking for certified pre-owned within 1-2yr old, less than 35k miles

Edit: really tried to push her to Highlander for resale value, but it seemed way smaller than the explorer

They've gone up. RBFCU use to do 1.8% about 3 years ago.

That is a good rate. I got 2.49% with local credit union for 48 months few months back. Capital one is easier process (not having to do application at credit union, wait for approval 24-48 hours later, then go by credit union to sign everything, bet capital one is all digital/electric signature documents). Also over 800 and got Bank of America at 3.19% just 3 days ago. 60 months.

I've looked at that looks like the going rate right now.
