I guess I'll keep throwing spare change at this and ARDX until something happens

Great report, yet the stock tanked.
The stock "tanking" has nothing to do with Auph itself.

as someone who bought in the 5s it's tempting to take the cash and go buy somewhere that is getting hammered unreasonably by the virus who will recover faster. If they're really going the long road here it'll be a while before we really see our payoff unless someone goes crazy but with the overall market I don't see that happening till this mess is over.

It absolutely does. Do you really believe that AUPH went down over 10% right after an earnings announcement was due to the overall market? Yeah right.

I can’t tell if you are a troll or just an idiot
Posted on 3/8/20 at 8:00 pm to MSTiger33
to be fair if cash becomes difficult to raise it could be difficult for auph to raise the cash in the future to meet needs or establish enough patients that can afford the treatments.
but that's a pretty esoteric argument to make and didn't all the sudden appear Friday

You can’t possibly be that dumb? AUPH goes down three times as much as the broad market the very next day after announcing earnings and that has NOTHING to do with it? Sure buddy.

I have been following this thread for some time now, and have enjoyed seeing the success. With that said, what are some thoughts with it at 14.08 at the moment. I am strongly considering buying in for a bit on the dip this week.

Voclosporin NDA is progressing on schedule
Edited to add quote.
quote:
Following a positive pre-NDA meeting with the FDA in February, we are pleased to initiate our rolling NDA submission to the Agency, a critical step toward making voclosporin available to patients as soon as possible. We look forward to working with the FDA throughout the process," commented Larry Mandt, Senior Vice President, Quality and Regulatory Affairs at Aurinia.

I’ve got enough AUPH. But would probably have to buy more at $9.xx

After FDA approval $25 if the market recovers.
Too hard to tell right now.

So i finally decided on my play we'll see if it works out tomorrow
sell $10 puts expiring friday. ~$170 cash up front.
if stock dips below $10 I will probably get 100 shares at $10 which is a pretty good deal in my mind. If stock doesn't I make $170 and then turn around buy several more shares off profit. I
think i'm going to do this for next little bit with options where possible to try and get paid for my entry point. FDA news should make this move up enough to justify either way.
i've still got most of my profits from Auph in Auph although i took out my initial investment plus a little already as things went south.

What’re we thinking right now? Buying opportunity?
ETA: I put in a 100 share limit buy at 9.99

i mean you might as well sell a put with me at 10 bucks for this. then you make 170 upfront instead of just getting in a cent lower. it actually takes your dca down to 8.30 this way if it goes through if not next week try again and your down to 6.60 a share

can you give me a basic ELI5 step-by-step on this process?
Posted on 3/19/20 at 4:21 pm to jmcwhrter
Sure so I sell 1 put.
That means i'm giving someone the right to sell me 100 shares of stock at a specific price on a specific date. in this case friday at $10.
for the right to sell me the stock they'll pay me a premium for locking in my funds. (complex pricing theories set these prices based on lots of factors not covered here). in this case $170 bucks when i sell the option.
It's a great strategy for stocks you want to own a lot of and are confident that the valuation is out of whack at a certain price point.
Down sides: RIsky strategy. people who did this when the bottom fell out bought stock way above the market value then and will have to wait for a recovery or lose out on that drop in value and not get to DCA.
Now in todays case my order didn't get filled so it didn't work out for me. guess no one really thought it would get that low.
TLDR: selling options earns you a premium up front. in the case of put options you then can end up obligated to buy 100 shares of stock which doesn't have to be a bad thing if you set your trades up right.
