ATT, Time Warner Merger Decision Deadline: June 12

The ruling has to come June 12 or sooner. With T near 52 week lows, the low multiple and a dividend north of 6%, i think i am going to take position tomorrow. What does the money board think will happen with the merger and T in general. If this merger doesnt happen, i think the ceo is gone. That would give the stock a nice bump imo.

I want to buy some shares but still watching. Hopefully I don't wait to long.

if deal falls through I think it initially goes lower. then up later at some point. I'm waiting for that here. but 6% dividend and low pe is too good to pass up for me

I picked up some shares last week just based off the 52 week low and the dividend. I think the merger goes through though. They have some serious lobbying power if they let them acquire Directv because I thought for sure that was going to get denied.

Been keeping an eye on this. Not sure if it's going to dip back into the $31 area again, so might have to pull the trigger.
Can someone explain to me how the dividends work? How are they paid out and does it matter what platform is used to purchase the stock (in my case, Robinhood)?

The dividend goes to the "cash" portion on your account unless you choose the reinvest it automatically (DRIP), stock price drops by amount of dividend the day of.
Also look out for ex-dividend date, the owner on that day is the one who will get the dividend. And that day is a few days before actual dividend payout.

Thanks, man! I wish I'd a held on to MU, but since I didn't, T is looking good. When are dividends paid out? Is now or tomorrow a good time to buy in or are there reasons to wait?

I wish my internet was working right today. It keeps showing ATT at 33.41.
This cant be right.

There is no reason the Judge turns this down, except that Trump wants to bang the hell out of CNN.
This is no where near a classic anti-trust case.
