I have one specifically for gas thanks to driving probably 4hr per day round trip for work.... but the "cash back" is pretty low if I remember correctly.

What's the best Cc you're using that gives cash back or points towards something specific? Not worried too much about interest rates as we pay it off each month.

I’m thinking about signing up for Amazon visa, just for 5% back on Amazon purchases.

Yes we have various cards for different purposes

Amazon Visa - For amazon purchases, 5% cash to Amazon, also 5% (sometimes 10%) at whole foods, we use this only for that (fee free)

AMEX Blue Cash Preferred - 6% cash back on groceries and streaming services, we use it only for that ($95/yr fee)

Costco Visa - 4% costco cash on gas, 3% back on restaurants and travel booked through costco, 2% back at costco....we use this only for those (fee free)

Cap One Venture - We use this for everything not related to above as catch all card, 2x miles on everything, ($95/yr fee)

We also have a Chase Freedom Unlimited and Chase Freedom (Flex it's called now) but basically never use those, both fee free cards. 5% category on my Chase Freedom is rarely something we would either use or we get it better with other cards above.

Thought about the Venture X upgrade from Venture but the extra benefits (like $300 travel credit) mostly come from booking your travel through Cap One's portal which I've found is just inflated prices to where I can get elsewhere.

Amex skymiles ($695/yr fee) for everything else. We’ve flown to Europe round trip past two years for “free”.

I do.

Gas - Citi CostCo Visa: 4% back on gas (just not Costco). Only use it for gas, use other Visa inside Costco

Dining - Chase Sapphire Preferred Visa: 3x points on dining. Got it last year for the sign up bonus. Chase points is the only one that can be transferred to Hyatt I believe. Haven't decided if I will keep.

Flights/travel - Amex Delta Reserve: Mainly for Delta flights or big purchases. Only card I have that will still extend warranty on purchases.

Amazon - Chase Amazon card: 5% back on Amazon purchases. I only use this for Amazon and don't carry in wallet

Catchall - Fidelity Visa: 2% cashback on everything, no limits, no fee. For anything not covered above.

Also, I have a Amex everyday card to hold my Amex MR points but don't actively use it.

Hmm interesting. I wasn't aware of that Citi Custom card. I never liked the cards with rotating categories. But this is rotating based on your highest spend each month. So I could use this as a dedicated dining card.
