Is anyone looking at getting in on anything that is cheaper than $5 per share?

NBL (noble energy) but it’s sitting at $6 right now. Been floating around the $5 range

What does price per share have to do with value in this instance?

Ford could be overpriced at $5 where Amazon could be undervalued at $1,850.

Whether you buy 10 shares of $100/share stock or 500 shares of a $2/share stock makes no difference.

Well if you only have a couple hundred bucks to throw at something it can make a difference.

Dude if you cant afford a stock unless it's under 10 bucks, open a savings account,

If the price of a share matters, then you shouldn't be buying. Even if you are talking about amzn or googl or something, if you cant afford ONE share of those, then that money should be going into spy or similar etf and not an individual stock.

The number of shares you own does not matter, its total value. You dont get a ribbon for having 10 shares at 10 bucks a pc vs 1 share at 100. They are equivalent.

I think he was asking about any value plays, not whether he should or shouldn't be buying or financial advice.

OP, I've been buying BP and EGO.

This...looking to throw some money in while it is low, and spread it out as much as possible. Thanks windshieldman

Can you elaborate on spreading it out?

You do realize that buying 2 shares of Apple at $250 each is is no different than buying 100 shares of Halliburton at $5 each. A 10% increase will be 50 bucks either way. Value is not reflected in the share price.

We must have different definitions of what this is, because it has 0% to do with the price per share alone .

Instead of blindly calling out sub 5$ tickers, I might have provided actual valuable advice because theres obviously a disconnect in understanding how this all works.

Spread it out in a ETF.

I think the guy is looking to triple his money in a year or so. He'll take a flyer on 100 shares of Halliburton at $5 when it used to trade at $40. Apple is likely not going to $750 /share in the next year. I know it's not the most realistic question and obviously if we knew these answers we all would be wealthy. I think that's his angle.

An sp500 fund will greatly outperform someone throwing darts at sub $5 stocks. I'll let you guys continue though, I've said my piece. Good luck.

I think most of us understand that, but that's not what he's asking about.
