Not to be a Debbie downer, but this sounds like a horrific idea. There is no AI tool available to any retail investor that will allow you to outperform the market (you are just making riskier trades and don’t realize it)

I wonder how it will affect in-person sales reps that rely on relationships.

I really don't know. It could replace us. Hope not.

Sounds like price/quality/etc may not be deciding all these deals. AI will end up being the purchaser and seller and won’t need an expense account or tickets to sporting events to make those decisions.

I’ve been playing around with Claude for some parts of my job and it’s scary close. I still have to give it tons of prompts and make minor changes, but it’s gotten so much better even since last year. I was extremely skeptical of it being worth a shite up to this point, but it’s definitely concerning me now

Ditto.

I have been practicing law for 25 years and have tons of work product, know how to craft effective prompts and quickly spot issues and refine with more prompts, and I have the "pro" etc versions of all the major platforms + CoCounsel.

It is scary what this shite can do. But the really freaky part is how much it has improved in the past few months.

This. It was always cool but there was some slight of hand you’d notice. It’s getting blurry fast lately.

Same here. What type of tasks are you thinking here?

I worked in manufacturing, just another guy on the factory floor keeping the lines moving. Nothing I did at work helped me learn to trade.

Don't use any tools, I don't even use vwap or macd that often. As for risk management, it's really less risky than buy and hold. I don't do options or trade anything all that risky. I think a lot of beginner traders including me start out trading penny stocks which can be extremely positive or negative if careless. Most of my trades are bought and sold in 10 minutes or less. I also generally stick to stocks that I'm currently holding as long term investments.

Because at some point I would like to simply do nothing. I don’t want to sit around at 48 to 50 years old and I also don’t want a job where I have to be responsible for a bunch of stuff I’ve had enough of that in corporate world. So, I’ve planned to shutdown corporate life at 48 to 50 transition into no account job at Publix (or equivalent) for something to do to keep me somewhat active and on a schedule then whenever I get tired of that perhaps around 60 or 62 just shut it down completely. If you work in Tech you know how much time, stress, etc this career path can be. It’s not healthy in anyway. The more they pay you the more they expect out of you and the easier it is for them to throw stuff on you. It’s getting worse and worse and I miss the simple days of desktop computers and blackberries when everything wasn’t so 24/7
It is what it is and just comes with the job but it’s no longer ‘fun’ or enjoyable.

I have to ask - why would they pay you to leave? If you are providing any value to the company at all, why on earth would they pay you even $1 to leave? If you are valuable, they would pay you to stay, not to leave.

I’m on a 3 year contract of which just renewed January 1st so they owe me the remaining years unless I do something really really dumb and get fired and even then I’m owed one year salary plus one year of insurance plus my bonus. I’m offering them a way out of that contract at a reduced rate to them. They declined when I asked. I’m going to ask again at end of this year. So, apparently I’m still valuable to them.

Do you really think our scumbag tech leaders will be paying UBI sufficient for 350 million people? If these AI grifters are correct in their assessment they should be hauled in front of congress to explain how our economy will work with tens of millions of layoffs.

WV. North calls us the south and the south calls us the north. So I don't really care. But I have to deal with my company's sales reps and suppliers' sales reps. None of them know how production works and thinks we're fricking Amazon. Suppliers' sales reps are like flies at a picnic. Leave me the frick alone.

I just had a robot assisted surgery a few months ago. I just can't figure out the end goal of all this ai shite. I mean, what's the point of a factory owner with zero employees that can produce a million wingdingers a minute if nobody can afford to buy them because nobody has a job.
